Hilton Boston Park Plaza offers a perfect blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Just steps from Boston Common, this iconic hotel features elegant accommodations, upscale dining, and state-of-the-art amenities. Whether visiting for business or leisure, guests will appreciate the proximity to the city’s most popular attractions, including the Theatre District and Newbury Street.
The Hilton Boston Park Plaza offers a prime location near Boston’s attractions, with consistently positive reviews regarding its lobby, staff friendliness, and proximity to transportation. However, numerous guest reports highlight concerns about cramped room sizes, particularly the ‘Wicked Small Rooms,’ outdated bathrooms, and noise levels. Despite positive service and a well-equipped gym, the hotel’s pricing and add-on fees are frequently cited as drawbacks.
spent one night at Hilton Boston Park Plaza and it was such a lovely experience. This historic hotel blends classic Boston charm with modern comfort. The location is perfect right across from the Public Garden and within walking distance of so many beautiful spots in the city.
I have stayed at this hotel twice and the only complaint I have is that there is limited space in the bathrooms. Tiny sink so not much room to get ready but fabulous location. The hotel bar has great espresso martinis and the valet service is awesome. Would recommend!
We were blessed to have been allowed to check-in early, and the room we were allowed to select on the app was a corner room with abundant square footage and a lovely view. While the hotel was busy during a holiday weekend we still felt cared for an accomodated. Lobby was beautifully decorated and the lobby bar provided excellent service and flavor forward cocktails. We appreciated having our Hilton Diamond food and beverage credit benefits plus the food and beverage credit included with the destination fee. Folks on the phone and at the desk were kind. Avoid check-in after 5:00pm until they upgrade to digital key, the lines were busy and can ruin your experience if you're waiting too long. Starbucks was nice as was the fitness facility for convenience. And the location is perfect for taking in the best Boston has to offer.
Really enjoyed our stay here. I felt like everything we needed, they had. Forgot my hairspray and they even had that available. Extremely clean, comfortable beds as always. And we had one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a long time here. Our server Jenny was so kind and attentive. Would definitely recommend!
Lovely hotel. It was difficult to navigate entrance and valet parking. The rooms are spotless but tight. It was a perfect hotel to spend the night after dinner at Maggianos (across the street). It's a quick and easy distance to Logan too. Bell Hop, Ramon stood out and made us feel seen. Thank you for the hospitality.
Rooms were comfortable but bathrooms could use some updating. Windows were far from sound proof and you could hear the nearby traffic all day/night. Service at the desk was great but no housekeeping while we were out like most hotels. Location was perfect. Easy walk to any train station, nearby all restaurants, shops, and parks.
I am furious and deeply disappointed with my recent stay at your hotel. This has been, without question, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. First of all, the soundproofing is absolutely terrible. Every night I was woken up by constant sirens from fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars. On top of that, I could hear every single sound coming from the next room — people talking, arguing, and more. It was impossible to sleep and made my stay extremely unpleasant. Second, your staff clearly discriminates against Asian guests. When I first checked in, I reported that the power in my room wasn’t working. I was told that “someone would arrive within 40 minutes.” I waited over three hours before anyone came. That is completely unacceptable. Every single day I told the front desk NOT to send housekeeping and not to enter my room, yet every day the cleaning staff still came in while I was sleeping. Is what I say a joke to you? This is beyond disrespectful. I also booked a room that included breakfast. To make sure the waiter knew I wasn’t finished, I always left a plate on the table while getting more food. Yet every time, the staff cleared my table, and when I came back, they looked at me and said things like, “Oh~~ I thought you were leaving.” The tone and attitude were condescending and humiliating, and I absolutely felt racial discrimination. As for the payment, I booked through Booking.com, and the price was USD 3,544.74. However, I was charged USD 4,550.48 on my credit card. On top of that, an extra USD 74 was charged on the first night as a “deposit,” and I was told it would only happen once. Yet three days later, it happened again. When I checked out, I was told that the excess charges would be refunded, but after returning home, I found a fraudulent charge of USD 1,641 on my credit card. I am now in the process of filing a dispute with my bank. This entire experience has been a disgrace. I felt discriminated against, disrespected, cheated, and even violated when housekeeping entered my room without permission. Hilton should be ashamed to have a property that treats guests this way.
I stayed at the Hilton Boston Plaza for two nights at around $300 a night, which seems to be the going rate across the city lately. Check-in was efficient given the hotel’s size (around a thousand rooms), and the elevator system handled the crowds well, with no real waiting either direction. Location is good, a block back from Boston Common and only a few blocks from the DoubleTree next to Tufts Hospital , around 6–7-minute difference on foot. The room, (Wickedly Small as named by the hotel) however, was incredibly small, roughly 180 sq ft, and far below expectations for the price. You can barely squeeze between the bed and wall, which becomes genuinely irritating after a day or two. There is not enough space for someone with one rucksack. The bed was comfortable- phew as it takes up most of the room! No recycling bin, just toss it all in one tiny bin as no room for anything bigger. The bathroom was tiny but functional, and the shower pressure and temperature were decent. Air-con worked quietly enough, though you can’t open the window for fresh air. Small details grated: the bright lights on the safe needed covering just to sleep, and corridor noise was a constant issue despite posted quiet hours. The room was not that clean either, likely as it is too small for the staff to get a vacuum cleaner to all the carpet! Then there’s the “destination charge”, which feels indefensible in a property that’s clearly not a destination resort. The fee supposedly covers Wi-Fi and gym access, both standard at most hotels, plus a token daily credit that barely buys a drink or half an entrée. It’s a classic example of drip pricing: a mandatory add-on that inflates the total cost without delivering meaningful value. Overall: decent staff and location, but the noise, cramped rooms, high price and cynical fee structure make this a three-star stay at best.
The hotel was in a great location. It was within walking distance to a lot of great restaurants and pubic transportation. Although the rooms were smaller than some other Hilton’s I stayed at it still had its pros such as; comfortable beds and pillows. The hotel lobby was nice which included a nice restaurant, gift shop and Starbucks. The staff front desk staff (Sean, Moises, Jennifer and Richard) provided great customer service and provided us with great recommendations to do around the city.
Great hotel, beautiful lobby, wonderful food and terrific staff. HOWEVER, do not stay at this hotel if you even like a little bit of space in your room. This is truly the smallest room I have ever stayed in. My bed literally touched wall to wall so you have to climb over the bed to get to the thermostat. The toilet almost touched the wall to one side and bath tub to the other. I definitely need way more room so I can never stay here again but again great location, food and staff.
