The W Boston offers a stylish and centrally located experience in Boston, frequently praised for its friendly staff and convenient access to attractions, restaurants, and the theatre district. However, recent reviews highlight recurring concerns about noise levels, particularly from street traffic and nightclub activity, suggesting it may not be ideal for light sleepers. Despite the positives, some guests found the cost to be disproportionate to the experience.
Loudest room. Paper thin walls. Drunk morons at 3am, multiple nights in a row. Loud club music. Loud street noise. No sleep. Horrible hotel. I’ve had better nights at Motel 6 at 1/10th the price.
one night in boston to see a show at the Wilbur theater. 1st tome staying at a W. It is in a great location. Super friendly staff. great bar with a DJ and an awesome breakfast. Would definetly stay again
What an amazing experience ? From the minute we parked the car the staff was their welcoming us - valet, registration, etc. Our room was so classy ? We received a knock at the door with a nice surprise of chocolate strawberries & fresh macarons. ? We were literally across the street from our event at the Boch/Wang Center ? and restaurants. Thank you all so kindly for your amazing customer service, you filled our hearts as we celebrated Valentine's Day ?? & a show, all while making our stay easy so as not to have to drive in a blizzard.?
My husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding. The room was very clean, and we loved the mini bar and snacks provided. The staff on sight are super nice and helpful! (Thank you Megan) The only complaint I had was the extremely loud guests. We stayed on floor 14, so there wasn’t noise from the entertainment in the lounge, but the guests on the floor we were staying on were very disruptive. They were yelling and partying until 1-2am, slamming their room doors, and overall being disrespectful to anyone to was trying to sleep at that time. We contacted the front desk, and they said they would send security up, but unfortunately problem persisted through the night. This part of Boston seems like a high volume, lively area, so maybe if you are a family or want a decent nights sleep, try somewhere else. Overall, our stay was nice. I liked the hotel, restaurant, bar/lounge and room itself, but the loud guests and lack of sleep I got left a bad taste.
Good hotel for business trips. Have to compliment Paul Vargas who helped so much with bags loading and unloading for you. Comfortable rooms with lot of liquors in the mini bar, the most I have seen at any hotel
Stayed at the W Boston recently and wanted to give a special shoutout to Gabriela Guzmán. On my second day, she noticed I was unsure what to do with my time and immediately stepped in with awesome suggestions. She took the time to walk me through different neighborhoods, restaurants, and things to see, and every recommendation was spot on. Thanks to her guidance, I ended up discovering places I never would have found on my own and had a much better Boston experience. Gabriela is friendly, thoughtful, and clearly loves helping guests make the most of their stay. The W is lucky to have her!
Great hotel overall I really like everything about the W Boston. The rooms, vibe, and service were all excellent, and the location is very convenient for getting around the city. The only downside is the main entrance door. If the doorman isn’t there and you’re carrying bags, the door is pretty heavy and awkward to open, especially when it’s windy. Not a big deal, but something management could easily improve.
W Boston is a fantastic place to stay! The hotel has a modern, stylish vibe with beautifully designed rooms that are comfortable and well maintained. The bed was super comfortable, and the room felt sleek and relaxing. The location is excellent — close to restaurants, shopping, and downtown attractions. The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout the stay. A great choice for a chic and comfortable stay in Boston!
Loved our room with really comfy beds and great additional seating. Restaurant food was great - all bartenders give great service, too! Best part of our stay was the outstanding, above and beyond, warm and friendly customer service, especially from Paul, the welcome ambassador. Had to leave our bags after checkout, and when we came back to get them, he stayed and talked to my elderly mom while I changed, and made sure we stayed comfortable until our ride came. He truly cared about us and was above and beyond aware of making sure we had an excellent departure. Such a kind and professional person! Cabo in the dining room saw us looking lost and literally ran to us to help us with a table, stopped by many times to make sure everything was going great, and truly loves people! Our server at breakfast immediately remembered our requests from the day before and took great care of us, even though the restaurant was really busy. Megan at the front desk took went above and beyond as well, taking time to not just check us out, but to talk about our stay, share our excitement for the family baby shower we were attending, and was just lovely! W’s hotel amenities are very good, but these staff members made the stay and experience great! So appreciate them!
Would not recommend this hotel if you have kids or are a light sleeper. Apparently it’s a nightclub that happens to have a hotel as an afterthought. The music at the reception was so loud that we had to hide our baby in the elevator lobby during check in. The nightclub in the hotel blares music late through the night and we can feel the bass in our rooms on the 8th floor. There’s also no noise insulation on the windows, you can hear sirens and loud cars on the street at all hours in the night. When we complained to the front desk about the noise from their own nightclub they offered to downgrade us to a worse room on a higher floor at our cost. I was expecting more from a hotel at this price point.
