The Westin Boston Seaport District receives generally positive reviews, particularly for its convenient location, service, and gym facilities, especially during convention periods. However, recent stays have highlighted issues with long check-in times, billing errors, and occasional service lapses, alongside concerns about room comfort and inconsistent service quality.
The room was clean and amazing . The service was too notch for how busy it was with a convention going on the employees were so helpful and on top of it . The gym has baybrokms with showers that are clean with soap shampoo and warm towels . Well worth it . The location you can't beat for how much the seaport district has been built up the last few years. Best hotel in the district now.
We had a lovely family staycation! The beds were so comfortable and views were wonderful! We enjoyed the pool and the great service from ro ro at check in and assistance from Otto with the bags. We appreciate all the kindness and attention to detail for our stay! We will definitely return!
Loved this hotel! The location is amazing and walkable to so many great restaurants, shopping and the waterfront. Our hotel room was great, but the real highlight was the in house virtual personal trainer ALANA LEGER wellness. Having a guided, high quality workout right in my room or in the fitness studio felt like a luxury. Such a cool and thoughtful amenity. Can’t wait to stay here again!
Arrived on a Thursday evening after a more than seven hour drive from Southeastern Pennsylvania that cemented in my mind that no one in the state of Connecticut knows how to drive. Seriously, I’ve seen serial killer confession tapes show more evidence of empathy and respect for others. As we pulled up to the hotel entrance, two things became very clear; this place was way too classy for our little family, and no less than 7,000 other people had swarmed the lobby, attempting to check in at the same time as us. Only parking available was valet at $65 a night, which I found out was fairly reasonable for Boston. Our reservation had check-in listed as 4 PM. It was 8 PM by the time I was able to reach the front desk where I was told that our room was not yet ready. It took another hour before we had room keys. To be fair, the hotel was hosting a convention that weekend and the staff was visibly overwhelmed. The layout of this establishment was both gorgeous and confusing. It took a long while to get a firm grasp of where everything was. There’s a lobby bar, Irish pub-style restaurant, breakfast buffet($32/person), and a gift shop where a bottle of water will set you back $8. Overall, our experience was positive, but expensive. Things seem to close early in the area, giving the impression that there’s not much of a nightlife in the Seaport district. If you have the wallet for it, and are looking for a classy base of operations for a trip to Boston, it’s not a bad place to stay. Both the staff and other guests were pleasant and considerate, unlike every miserable soul I encountered on the road through Connecticut.
An awesome hotel; I can safely say I've never stayed anywhere where the staff were this professional, interested, and friendly. When we ordered a gluten allergy accommodating meal from room service, they actually called us back out of genuine concern at confirming the details and getting the order right; that's never happened before. David at the front desk especially was AMAZING! My stay was significantly better because of him. Thank you David!
Rooms were nice with great views. Location was perfect for where I needed to be. The service was with a smile and great except when it came to an issue of no body soap in the bathroom shower. I messaged on the app... No reply. The next morning I called to inform of the issue and no response to my previous message and was told they'll get some up to my room right away. 2.5 hours later, nothing. It wasn't until I returned that night that is was full. I spoke to the desk at checkout when asked if everything was ok.
The hotel’s location is excellent, but our experience was absolutely unacceptable from start to finish. We were attending the ATA Conference and sharing a room for four people. Upon check-in, the hotel took all four of our credit cards and made “authorization” charges that did not correspond to the real amount due. Then, they attempted several additional unauthorized charges on the card used as the guarantee — all for different amounts. As a result, the bank flagged these operations as suspicious and blocked the card for fraud prevention, and the hotel locked us out of our room twice. We spoke with the manager, who apologized, yet the same issue happened again. Later, they told us everything was resolved, but when the last guest tried to check out, they refused to let her leave, claiming there were no valid cards on file, and once again started making incorrect charges. To make matters worse, after all this, the hotel is still claiming that we owe them money — even though the full payment was already made. The agreed rate was USD 567.60 per person, but each of us ended up being charged over USD 700, and the hotel has not refunded the overcharged amount nor provided any proper response to our claim. This experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. The management’s handling of payments and customer service is a disgrace. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this hotel — they do not deserve the trust of their guests.
This is a great hotel to stay if you here for a conference. This hotel has a very large a fancy first floor with multiple food places, bars, and meeting rooms. As for the accomodations, it has extremely long corridors and the rooms are super basic and not cozy at all. Bo USB chargers, so bring your adapters. It is a good location to stay for a conference, if your company is ready to pay so much, but I would definitely not recommend for sightseeing or tourism.
Beautiful hotel nice location in the seaport a bit of a walk over the bay to get to the historic part of Boston like Faneuil Hall and Government Square... no T station nearby... visit Boston orphan and used to staying near Prudential Center which has a lot more to do. But that's not really anything to do with this hotel the staff' the hotel, the food, the amenities were wonderful.
We came for a conference and the Hotel was great and was connected to the Convention Center through a enclosed Walk Way. Myrtho the Front Desk Manager was friendly and very professional and provided us with great service and a great room. Harkeem the Director of Housekeeping made sure that we were provided with all of the guest services to make our stay enjoyable. I TRAVEL ALOT AND HAVE TRAVEL OVER TWO MILLION MILES ON UNITED AND STAY AT ALOT OF HOTELS. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND STAY AT THIS PROPERTY AGAIN.
