The Hampton Inn Boston Logan Airport consistently receives mixed reviews, highlighting both positive aspects like a convenient location and airport shuttle service, and significant concerns regarding inconsistent service, room cleanliness, and operational issues such as malfunctioning equipment and billing errors. Recent experiences have particularly emphasized issues with front desk staff professionalism and reservation accuracy.
I experienced unprofessional and unfriendly behavior from the front desk staff during my stay attempt. Due to the recent blizzard in USA, I was stucked in conneccticutand was unable to travel on time. My original check-in date was 23 February, but because of the travel ban I anticipated that I would not be able to arrive that day. Therefore, I called the hotel in advance and requested that my booking not be cancelled, as the reservation had already been fully paid through Billa Book. The hotel staff assured me that my booking would remain active and that I could check in on 24 February instead. However, when I arrived at the hotel on 24 February, the front desk staff refused to allow me to check in. Later, one staff member admitted that my reservation had been mistakenly marked as “No Show,” which resulted in the automatic cancellation of my booking. During a difficult situation caused by the blizzard, I unfortunately received no support from either the hotel or Billa Book. As a result, I was forced to find and book another hotel at my own expense. This experience was extremely disappointing, especially during an emergency situation when travelers need understanding and assistance.
I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel for many reasons. I stayed two times here on two separate dates within the same week (Feb 28 and March 4). In one of my stays, they had no blanket or linen for the sofa bed, so we had to go request for one, but the front desk was super busy that we had to get some other worker to help us. The digital key wasn't working, and the actual card for the room (I had to get a physical one) was not working several times, and we had to get a new one. They also have a habit of putting you on hold when you call them, and at times will even hang up after they put you on hold! I was calling for the airport shuttle, so that was a fail because I needed a shuttle and they had me on hold. At one point while waiting for the shuttle, we literally waited for one whole hour! I was so upset. Both times I went it was very busy and I was not greeted at arrival. It did not feel warm or welcoming. It was loud and fast paced. There is no clear direction on what to do or where to go when you want to eat at their restaurant... there was literally only one guy at the bar doing everything and I had to ask him how does this work, and if we just sit anywhere or order at the bar, or what. The food at the restaurant was not good at all, so it was a waste of my money. And for breakfast, they did not even have regular standard paper plates- they only had bowls! So we basically had to serve our food into several bowls because it couldn't fit into just one. It seemed very unprofessional and I do not plan in going here again. I only picked this one because of the reasonable price and because they offered free breakfast and the airport shuttle, but I will find another hotel that provides this instead moving forward. Please provide better service. Thank you.
We used this place for airport parking and the shuttle service was excellent. The employee who helped us—I believe his name is Jacob from Colombia—was absolutely amazing. He was so helpful, friendly, and positive throughout the entire experience. Thank you for having such a great employee like him. Because of Jacob, this will definitely be our go-to parking place whenever we travel. Highly recommend!
Check in was relatively smooth and efficient. The room was designed with a minimalist aesthetic. The laundry facility was small, only one washer and one dryer, and no visible laundry items for sale in the laundry room. Housekeeping was called twice to have the room cleaned and never turned up, however the asst.GM was kind enough to have fresh towels brought to the room after hearing of the second no show. The maintenance team was responsive and quick at addressing the challenges we had on the first night, well done.
Positives: shuttle busses are available for pickup and drop-off for the airport. It's about less than 20 mins away depending on traffic. I paid $25 for early check-in before 3pm; I was there at 11am. Overall clean room and accessible for Uber drop-off. Call or book online. New development I was charged for parking that I never used. Kindly ensure you review your receipts when received. I reported the issue and will check to see if and when I'll receive a refund.
Verrry disappointed with this hotel. We booked a park, stay, fly pkg. and checked in the evening before departure. Due to the govt. shutdown, our flight was cancelled. We stayed the night and returned to our home the next morning, we asked about a credit for the unused parking and was told it was a corporate issue. I called Hilton Corp. and was told the local mgmt could make the credit but the manager would not discuss it with me. Finally, I wrote to Corp. Customer Asst. and they told me that the Hotel would credit the unused parking. I neither heard from the Hotel nor received a credit. Apparently they don’t care about repeat business as I will never use it again. I had purchased non refundable airline tickets from American Airlines and they refunded the entire amount irregardless. It seems that this Hampton Hotel, in an effort to make a profit would rather sever relations with the customer instead. Follow up: After considerable time and many emails to both Hilton Corporate and the Hampton Inn this situation was rectified. I was reimbursed generously for the unused parking at this facility. Although I believe it could have been handled sooner and without as much communication, the fact that the Hotel Manager did call me and express her regrets to that effect is honorable on her part. As I said in my initial review, I think the location and all other respects of this hotel are very good and since they did actually own the problem and resolve it, I will use this hotel again and recommend them for anyone that is flying out of Logan. Again, my thanks to the Hotel Manager for resolving my issue.
The rooms look nice at surface level, but when you look closer, they’re pretty run down. The hotel itself was dirty throughout. No microwaves in the rooms. The beds are pretty hard. Weird charges to my card throughout my stay. The airport shuttle was running late, which nearly caused me to miss my flight. It was ok, but I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.
Hotel is close to the airport and rooms were clean were about the only good thing. Interior and rooms are outdated and need a renovation. Mattress is basic. Elevator button either did not register, or would get stuck in the open position. No complimentary water for Hilton Honors members. Shuttle took over the 30 minutes to arrive (website says every 30, and hotel literature says every 20), and then the driver gave us a hard time asking if we had called ahead. We did because the website doesn't say where the shuttle picks up. It's E107 for those arriving internationally, and the website doesn't say anywhere that you need to call ahead. The driver didn't ask anyone else that question. Very strange we were targeted. The driver was hard braking at every stop or slow down jostling everyone in the shuttle that doesn't have seatbelts. He also didn't help with bags at all. There's only one person working front desk leading to long waits for check-in and questions, and being put on hold for a while when calling. Not the front desks' fault as management and owners should be staffing appropriately instead of being cheapskates on labor. Lastly, we were awoken hours before check out time by housekeeping knocking on our door and letting themselves in. It's before 9 A.M., no one should be waking us up early on check out day to turn over the room. This is after a 12 hour long haul flight the day before. Instead of enjoying much needed rest, I'm awake and writing this review. For $190 per night it's not worth it. Next time we visit, we'll stay at a Hilton property that's worth the value, and doesn't treat customers as cattle.
The overall stay was good, the breakfast was really good and well presented and maintained with a wide variety of options. The room was clean with the exception of the remote to the TV having something crusty on it and there was something shoved into a gap that was between the ceiling and the wall.. maintenance came to remove it, but a language barrier prevented us from finding out what it actually was shoved in there, we did NOT want to touch it. The location of the property is convenient as it is close to the airport and has a shuttle but is on an extremely busy highway so you cannot walk to the restaurants across the street. There is a bar / restaurant inside the hotel that has a limited selection on food and drinks, the beer was cold and food was decent, there is also a few items in the lobby available to purchase. It was a good stay but was NOT a fan of having what appeared to be a contraception item stuck to the ceiling.
Exceptional Service from the Front Desk – A True Hospitality Star! I wanted to take a moment to highlight the incredible service we received from the bilingual front desk (A.M Shift) during our recent stay at Hampton Inn- Logan Airport especially the wonderful lady who checked us in. From the moment we walked through the doors, she greeted us with a warm, genuine smile that immediately made us feel welcome. She was not only friendly, but also impressively efficient—our check-in was smooth, fast, and full of helpful information. What really stood out was her attention to detail and her willingness to go the extra mile. She handled every question and request with patience and professionalism, all while making it seem effortless. You could tell she genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in her role. Front desk team members often set the tone for a guest’s entire stay, and thanks to her, ours started on a perfect note. She’s a real asset to the hotel and a shining example of top-tier hospitality. Thank you for making us feel so valued and taken care of—we’ll absolutely be back! ??????????
