Place is god awful. Staff is comprised of un-enthusiastic, unhelpful people. They wont lift a finger to try and get you in your room earlier than 3pm. Doesn't matter because there isnt much relief waiting for you in your room anyways. Once you get out of the lobby the whole place stinks. Waited hours to check in to a still dirty room. Go somewhere else. Despite being one of the cheapest options in the area it's still super expensive. Staff could of made up for it instead this place is depressing. Absolute waste of money. Really wish I would have just spent more and stayed at one of the many hotels nearby.

I was really torn on how to review this hotel. The hotel itself is fine. It’s older but I enjoy that. It was still clean which is all I care about. The gentleman at checkin was an absolute saint. Above and beyond helpful both at checkin and after. He deserves 100 stars. The valet was the same. So kind and helpful. The problem was the woman on staff early in the morning. I went to use the gym around 6:30 AM which I didn’t realize was closed until 7 AM every day. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that didn’t have a gym open, if not 24/7, by 4 or 5 AM. It didn’t even cross my mind it wouldn’t be open yet, not to mention the door was unlocked. The treadmill would not turn on, again, if you travel as much as me that is pretty typical of hotel gyms. Their equipment is usually in some state of disrepair. I messed with it and got it working. Started my run. Had to run to the restroom and the woman caught me on my way back and proceeded to berate me. Just absolutely would not accept it was an honest mistake as I apologised profusely. I apologized over and over and tried to explain I didn’t realize it and went and grabbed my stuff. Even when I tried to de-escalate and smile and say ok I’m sorry, that made her even more mad and she started in even harder, even muttering at me under her breath at the check-in counter. I absolutely could do no nothing to appease her. I went back to my room and just broke down and cried. She made me feel like a criminal. It was at that point I made the decision to check out early and find another hotel. There was just no reason to stay there after I’d been made to feel so uncomfortable, especially as I travel alone. The thing is, she was absolutely right, the gym was closed and after our encounter I could see where that was posted though I had missed it before, and if she had kindly pointed that out to me I would have apologized and left immediately having realized my mistake. It was her manner of doing it. I left immediately. It’s really a shame because the gentleman from the day before again, was so kind and helpful checking me out and getting me an adjusted bill. His service is overshadowed by his colleague.

Our room got really stuffy and dry at night, no way to open windows too. Otherwise, really nice aesthetic of the hotel, rooms are nice and spacious imo. No microwave which was a bummer but surrounded by restaurants so it was okay. Be prepared to sleep to the sound of the city!

Value: 3/5 - Booked the non-studio King room ~2 months ago through the hotel website for the "best rate". - ~$422 a night seemed steep for what you get, but likely due to timing (graduation) and location (Back Bay). I understand other hotels in the area cost much more. Rates dropped by half during our stay. Politely contacted the manager, and though I initially didn't get a response, they sent the response to the wrong address. Ultimately, got a $345 credit towards a $1,265 stay. So, $307 a night. My rating doesn't really change due to lack of in-room amenities. - Location is close to several stations: Back Bay station for the T (orange line) and Amtrak and Copley (green line). - Hotel has 2 elevators. One is extremely small. The other is regular sized if you have more luggage or people. Both are very slow. Amenities: 3/5 - Our room had an in-room safe, small fridge/freezer, hair dryer, ironing, and toiletries. Scratchy towels. NO microwave or in-room coffee maker. - Common room is on the ground floor with a microwave, coffee machine, and vending machines with actually reasonably priced items, along with contraception! - No on-site guest laundry even though they have a sign that says they do. Cleanliness: 5/5 Comfort: 4/5 - Bed was a little soft for me, and the space is very small. AC had trouble cooling off to a comfortable sleeping temp. The common areas were very warm, so we were sweating. - Bathroom hardware needs fixing. Shower plate was loose. Sink cabinet edges were worn, scuffed, and scratched. Took a bit to understand how to get the right temp and pressure. Ambiance: 5/5 - Room and hotel in a modern but semi-historical style. - Cute, elegant little bar and cafe downstairs. Their french toast and bread pudding were amazing! Service: 4/5 - Front desk: Friendly but had trouble understanding during check-in that we wanted to store our luggage downstairs because we were in a hurry to drop off our rental car.

The first thing to say it’s that the personnel is 10/10. Everyone we interacted to was very friendly and professional. We had a couple of issues during our stay but the front desk team and the manager did all their best to solve them, and because of this we left the place very pleased and I’d go back again. Rooms are nice, mine was corner with 2 windows in the 3rd floor and very silent. Cleaning was profesional, beds were extremely comfortable and the location is perfect with Logan Express bus very near, two T stops within minutes and the prudential center crossing the street. They have a room with coffee for free 24/7 and some vending machines. They put bottled water every day in rooms at cleaning. I’d stay there again and I recommend this place.

Stayed here before the blizzard to be able to get to work (hospital). Team was great- appreciate their work throughout the storm. They were definitely dealing with some difficult patrons from things I overheard and were handling everything professionally. Room was clean and bedding was very comfortable. Thank you!

The front desk and general staff are extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is beautiful if not a slight bit outdated. The rooms are a very good size especially for a city. Coming here with a group taking several rooms some rooms were very cold and others very warm. However the ballroom where the event was held was absolutely beautiful. Overall it was a good experience and the location is excellent.

?????????? Outstanding Service from an Exceptional Team I cannot say enough great things about the service at this hotel—it was truly top-tier from start to finish. What made the experience exceptional was the people. Ben, the manager, sets the standard for what hospitality should be. He was professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. You can tell he leads by example, and it shows throughout the entire property. Claudia and Joanna, the assistant managers, were absolutely amazing. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. No matter the request, they handled everything with grace, efficiency, and a smile. Their positive energy and attention to detail made us feel truly valued as guests. A huge shout-out as well to Maria, the housekeeping manager. The cleanliness and care put into the rooms and common areas were impeccable. It’s clear she runs a tight ship and takes great pride in her work—everything was spotless and well maintained. This team went above and beyond in every way. It wasn’t just a stay—it was an experience. Exceptional service like this is rare, and it’s the reason I will absolutely be coming back and recommending this hotel to everyone I know. Thank you to Ben, Claudia, Joanna, and Maria for making the stay unforgettable.

I had a wonderful stay at the Copley Square Hotel, and one of the biggest advantages is its excellent location. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Boston, making it incredibly convenient for both sightseeing and relaxing city walks. It is just steps away from the Boston Public Library and very close to the Public Garden, which was lovely to visit, especially for peaceful strolls. Newbury Street is right nearby, offering great shopping, dining, and café options, and the Prudential Center is also within easy walking distance. The rooms were cozy, comfortable, and very clean. While not overly large, they were thoughtfully arranged and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. I also appreciated the calm and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. Despite being in such a central location, the room felt quiet and relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. The bed was comfortable, and the cleanliness of both the room and bathroom stood out. Overall, Copley Square Hotel is a great choice for travelers looking for a clean, cozy stay in an unbeatable location. With easy access to major attractions, public transport, shopping, and dining, it offers excellent value. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Boston.

Overall, our stay at the Copley Square Hotel was fine but nothing to write home about. It was the most financially friendly stay we could find at the time. The reviews had me concerned about what I might walk into but I was happy with the room and the state of it. The room and bed was clean and the noise level was on par for a city. Having a bar/restaurant down below was convenient on nights when the weather was rough. The hotel had a historic feel which was something to appreciate. What I didn't like was that the wifi was very slow. This in conjunction with having poor cell service made it a pain point when trying to research things to do in the city and nearby. The water was hot but the pressure was pretty low. When we arrived the mini fridge was turned off which is understandable from a power saving perspective but that renders it useless for the first night until it cools down which is a bit inconvenient. The coffee provided in the lobby was more like hot water with a hint of coffee. However, the selection of tea options was nice.
