The Four Points by Sheraton Boston Newton generally receives positive feedback for its convenient location near the Mass Pike and Boston, as well as friendly staff. However, recent reviews highlight significant concerns regarding cleanliness, room quality, and issues with hotel management responding to guest needs and resolving problems effectively. The hotel's proximity to a busy highway also presents a noise concern for some guests.

Please Avoid! This is not a standard Marriott hotel overall. A mouse was found! Attached final bill.(Mickey means Mouse for them)I only book one room for me and my brother. Due to the weather I did not even make it to Boston so I added my brother’s name to help him to check in without me. Somehow the management team used almost 2 month to investigate, and they told me I total have 2 rooms got charged for 3 night is correct and both rooms key been used. (I booked only one room for 2 night, due to the weather I can’t even make it to Boston for the first night and since we know there is mouse I did not even stay there for the second day reservation. I even mentioned in the Email, I don’t care about double charge, I would like to have a real investigation how come I can have two rooms with only one room reservation and the only thing they can tell me is both rooms were checked in, and one room checked in at 5:41, the other one checked at 7:43. The entire thing is a joke. Haven’t stayed at anything related to Marriott this bad ever.

As a long-time Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador member and frequent business traveler in the medical field, I expect a certain baseline of service and comfort. Unfortunately, my stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Newton fell well below Marriott standards. I was not acknowledged or greeted as an Ambassador upon arrival. The room itself was cold, worn, and dated, and the bed was uncomfortable—far from what I expect after long workdays. I reported these issues to the front desk during my stay. At checkout, I was told their system was down and that I could not be checked out properly. I attempted to check out through the Bonvoy app instead. It has now been over a week, and I am still waiting for my receipt. Although my credit card has been charged, the stay is not showing in my Bonvoy account, and I never received a departure email. I contacted Marriott Bonvoy customer service for assistance, but they were unable to resolve the issue or provide meaningful help. Overall, this experience was disappointing and frustrating, particularly given my loyalty to Marriott. This property does not meet the standards I associate with the brand, and I would not choose to stay here again for business travel.

We have stayed here several times. The location is great- very convenient to Boston and there are several good restaurants in walking distance or nearby by car. Friendly and helpful check-in and the rooms we have stayed in are updated and pleasant. Parking is about half the cost or less of the Boston Marriotts. We will stay here again!

Four Points by Sheraton Boston is a comfortable and well-located hotel, ideal for both business and leisure travel. The rooms are clean and functional, and the staff is friendly. The check-in process was smooth, and the common areas are well maintained. Overall, it is a good option for a practical stay in the city.

The check-in process for this hotel was smoother and welcoming. The front desk manager, Jay, was so kind and a warm face to walk into the hotel and see. Despite being located right on the Mass Pike, my husband and I thought this hotel was fairly quiet; the hotel also offered earplugs and a sound machine to drown out some of the highway noise. The location near the Mass Pike and the walkability of the area was really convenient as well!

Nice hotel. Not fancy, but a step up from the Hampton, etc. Rooms are clean. Staff is always nice and helpful. Nice bar...past the elevators with generous local beer selection. My only complaint would be location. Depending on if you need to take an Uber, it may be great location. Getting an Uber anywhere is a nightmare. Schedule it if you can.

Location is good for access in/around the suburbs or into Boston, there are also a few bus lines which stop right outside the hotel. You can park on the street overnight FOR FREE April - November, so you could luck out and get one of the many parking meters right on Washington St. The ONLY front desk member who was really outstanding was Dolores, she works the overnight shift which was a relief after discovering the room assigned to me was not actually available.

Very friendly staff. Room is clean and spotless. Comfortable beds. We enjoyed very nice & hot breakfast ?. Plenty of parking spaces. My family stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while exploring Boston. I would like to thanks Jessica at the check in desk. She was so helpful when I asked her about the public transit from the hotel to the Boston Common. She immediately took out her phone and told me the bus arrival time and the bus stop. Jessica always greeted guests with a smile. Thank you Jessica. ??

I had the worst experience of my life at this hotel and I warn anyone who wants to stay here...DON'T! And the reason doesn't even have to do with their location which is right on top of a busy highway so needless to say it is extremely noisy. My main complaint relates to their handling of guests at the hotel. I stayed at this property a week ago and was booked for 3 nights. On the first night after checking in around 6pm I was in my room and I heard loud shouting and doors slamming. I looked out the peep hole and saw several large men who appeared to be arguing. After a couple of minutes there was banging on my door. This banging happened several times. I got very scared and called down to the front desk to let them know. They informed me that there were 4 large busloads of high school students in the hotel and that many were staying on my floor. They told me that the student team "leaders" would quiet them down around 10pm and that there was really nothing else that they could do. I asked to be moved as I had to go to bed after a long day and did not want to wait until 10pm for them to quiet down as I was a paying guest too. They informed me that there was no other room that they could move me to and also if they did have one it would be difficult to escape the kids as they were scattered all over the hotel. I decided that night that I would not stay another night in this hotel and booked myself into another one for the remaining 2 nights of my visit. When I checked out the next morning I was informed that they would not refund the amount for the 2 nights that I already paid. I felt like I didn't have a choice as it sounded like the next two nights were going to be as bad as the prior one so left without a refund. I wrote a letter of complaint to Marriott customer service and was told that they tried to accommodate me to move me to another room so will not refund any money. Based on the front desk attendant the night that I called it did not sound like they had any availability to move me nor did it sound like there was a possibility of escaping the noise from the 4 busloads of high school kids. If this hotel wants to accommodate all paying guests they should put all those kids on their own floors so they do not disrupt other customers. I don't feel that I should have to wait until 10pm each night for them to settle down before I can rest. Terrible customer service and an equally terrible hotel and experience. Stay away!
