The Sheraton Boston has undergone recent renovations and boasts a fantastic downtown location connected to shopping and dining. Guests consistently praise the friendly staff and newly renovated rooms, but recent reviews highlight significant issues with pool closures due to maintenance and a lack of transparency regarding construction.

Newly remodeled and the biggest in the area, the Sheraton is niiiiiiiice now. Great location, fabulous lounge, incredibly friendly staff, great gym and pool (cardio room AND a weight room). It’s also connected to the mall on the second floor! I will absolutely stay here again. This is swanky!

I really enjoy my breakfast everyday here in Henderson at 1st floor. Francisca is super friendly. Always give us big smile and warm greetings! It made my day. And Lin is considerate for our need. Overall, I indeed had a wonderful experience here in Boston. All thanks to the people I met, like Francisca and Lin. They are the most cherish memory for me.

We chose this hotel for a family weekend because of the great pool. We got in early on Friday and checked in with no issue. We got dressed to go to the pool only to find out it was closed for maintenance.and wouldn't open until Sunday. I called from the house phone and they said it's been closed since Wednesday and to use the pool at the Marriott next door. Not that easy with a 7 year old, 4 year old and 7 month old. So I went to the front desk to see how they can help and as I approach I can hear them mutter under their breath "here comes the guy about the pool." I ask why they didn't inform us before hand or at check in and was told it just happened and it was too short notice to let people know. Alexi at the front desk lied to me to my face and turned pale after I told him the woman on the house phone said it's been out of service since Wednesday. He said it would have been too disruptive to let guests know it was closed I've never been treated as disrespectfully by at Bonvoy property as he treated me. We ended up packing all our stuff and moving to the Marriott next door. There was a very kind woman at the concierge desk at Sheraton that inserted herself into to conversation to offer some assistance. Alexi told me the best they could do was refund our room and that I had to book on the Bonvoy app at another property. The woman (I missed her name because I was furious) called the Marriott next door, spoke to the house manager to let them know of our situation. She brought a couple stuffed animals up to our room for the kids as we packed which was very kind.

Excellent downtown hotel, especially if you're visiting during the winter months. A major perk is that it is connected to both the Prudential Center and Copley Place, so you don't even have to go outside for shopping or dining. The lobby is comfortable and packed with amenities. The highlight for me was the huge pool and the fitness center, which are well above average for a hotel gym.

I almost never write reviews, but this experience was too infuriating to ignore. We booked a 1-bedroom suite through Chase to accommodate our family, but the hotel downgraded us to a standard single King and refused to fix it. This is incredibly disruptive for us, and since we are here specifically to be with extended family staying at the property, we can't just leave for another hotel. We are effectively trapped without the space we paid for, and the manager’s refusal to offer any solution or take any responsibility is unacceptable. Additionally, the manager informed us that the hotel was fully booked yet suites were available on their website immediately after our conversation. Do not stay here, there are plenty of other great hotels with professional staff in the area.

Completely renovated! The rooms are very comfortable. The decor is excellent. The lobby is very spacious with many seating areas, all perfectly decorated with a great aesthetic balance. Highly recommended for a stay while exploring the city, even on foot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We'll be back!

Excellent location! Genevieve greeted me upon arrival and she was lovely. I stayed in a Junior suite overlooking the River on the 22nd floor. It was magical with the Christmas lights! Pricing is not different than any other major city. The location is incredible- you’re able to walk through the mall to other hotels and sites without going outside in the freezing cold! I enjoyed my stay, and I loved the newly renovated design.

What a lovely experience!! This hotel was immaculate! It was calm, clean, ambient, and in a stellar location near the city center, Boston university, and Harvard! I enjoyed the pool immensely. It was hard not to, the room was a gorgeous atrium with stunning cozy atmosphere and lamps to make you feel like you’re at a private resort in Aruba. Although I must say, while I was over the moon to be able to enjoy a pool indoors in the cold of winter, a change needs to take place, because the room reaches morgue-like temperatures which makes it very difficult to be there for very long. There is nothing but glass separating the room from an outdoor courtyard, and needless to say, the beautiful cabanas lining that wall are refrigerators in that cold. It seeps in under the flimsy “push to open” glass door as well as the cracks along the doorframe. The hotel room was nice. Very stunning views and very high class and cozy beds. A couple issues though: the bathroom was crappy, in a word. I’ve never stayed at a luxury hotel like this one with a cloth shower curtain and bathtub… usually it’s a stand-up rain shower with a sliding glass door. The pillows were crappy too. They deflated like a whoopee cushion when you put any weight on them at all (not in a nice memory foam way) and that led to stacking four at once to get any elevation at all. Not nice. Overall, rooms need major work, they’re lacking severely in basic necessities. The pool was the absolute stunner of the evening—I’d go back again just for that atrium. The lobby is beautiful (and is so big it resembles a mall) but the front desk staff are a bit undertrained. I had to speak with a young girl who seemed about 20 and didn’t have a hospitality background—or if she did I couldn’t tell. She kind of had a Gen-Z stare. The location proximity to the city center is unbeatable for the price. I’d come back next time I’m in Boston.

Breakfast not included :/ We stayed the weekend. The room was very nice but small with no view. You need to pay extra for WiFi unless you are a Bonvoy member. No microwave in the room. I read someone else’s review and they said they would rent them one for $25. We really enjoyed our stay but there was one thing in particular that left a sour taste in our mouths. On our final morning we asked the front desk if they served breakfast, she said yes just right around the corner. We walked over and saw a traditional buffet style grab and go breakfast so we each made a small plate. When we were eating an employee dropped a $100 bill on our table with a built in 18% tip. There is no signage that this was not complimentary, I don’t even think the Bonvoy app mentioned this. Other than that all of the hotel staff were very nice. Parking is not cheap below the hotel, it was $46 for the night.

Stayed for Memorial Day weekend... hotel is under construction. Paying full price for a room when the pool is closed, and the restaurant is closed. You have to pay full price for their overpriced food AND pay a room delivery fee because their restaurant is closed. If the restaurant was open I wouldn't be eating in my room. And due to construction the staircase between the lobby and garage was closed. Which made leaving on Sunday absolute hell. Waited over an hour for an elevator. Small room with skinny door ways. Good luck if you're fat or have a big suitcase. They should really tell you if they're doing construction beforehand and give a discount for the inconvenience and at least waive the room delivery fee for food.
