The Sheraton Boston Hotel receives generally positive reviews, highlighting its convenient downtown location, newly renovated rooms, and excellent amenities like a pool and gym. However, recurring concerns regarding inconsistent service, construction disruptions, and issues with room cleanliness and bathroom facilities have emerged. Recent renovations have noticeably improved the property's appeal, though some areas need further attention.
I had read so many bad reviews and I was a bit anxious arriving at the hotel, but overall, it went quite good. I stayed for 3 nights for a citytrip in BOS. The only negative points : - Soundproof inexistant : in your room you hear people talking when passing in the hall. But it never disturbed my sleep (and I'm a light sleeper). - Checkin : I was offered a late checkout, but when i double checked on the last day, it was not registered (but Matthew made it happen anyway). Good points : - Gym not big but with enough material for a holiday/travel workout - Pool with open ceiling - Breakfast at Henderson in the lobby: great food - Access : easy with metro, or Logan Express from the airport (free, 3$ return trip). Long story short, it's a good place for a short trip, or citytrip.
Five stars. Clean, updated, location can’t be beat. Generally quiet, walls thin but not an issue. Elevators can get busy. Staff amazing. Peloton bikes need to be replaced. Great stay. Would stay again.
Staying at this hotel is a wonderful experience because of its central location, which puts you right in the heart of the city's most vibrant shopping and dining districts. The lobby is grand and welcoming, and the rooms offer fantastic views of the skyline or the Charles River, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. One of the best features is the indoor pool with its retractable glass roof, allowing you to enjoy a swim regardless of the weather. The connection to the Prudential Center and Copley Place means you can navigate the area easily, even on rainy or cold days. It is a sleek and reliable choice for anyone wanting a comfortable home base with plenty of amenities and easy access to everything the city has to offer.
We had the perfect stay at the Sheraton Boston Hotel. From the moment we checked in we felt welcome. Kendra at the front desk was amazing. She expertly reviewed the hotel amenities and area with us. Such a great way to start our stay. The hotel has a spacious lobby and easy access to Taxis/Ubers. The hotel is connected to the Prudential Center and is so convenient to shopping and restaurants. Our room was perfect and comfortable. The hotel lobby bar/restaurant had great food and drinks. Everything was amazing. We spent a few hours at the pool which was very clean and relaxing. Such an awesome place to stay and celebrate our anniversary!
Newly remodeled and the biggest in the area, the Sheraton is niiiiiiiice now. Great location, fabulous lounge, incredibly friendly staff, great gym and pool (cardio room AND a weight room). It’s also connected to the mall on the second floor! I will absolutely stay here again. This is swanky!
I really enjoy my breakfast everyday here in Henderson at 1st floor. Francisca is super friendly. Always give us big smile and warm greetings! It made my day. And Lin is considerate for our need. Overall, I indeed had a wonderful experience here in Boston. All thanks to the people I met, like Francisca and Lin. They are the most cherish memory for me.
We chose this hotel for a family weekend because of the great pool. We got in early on Friday and checked in with no issue. We got dressed to go to the pool only to find out it was closed for maintenance.and wouldn't open until Sunday. I called from the house phone and they said it's been closed since Wednesday and to use the pool at the Marriott next door. Not that easy with a 7 year old, 4 year old and 7 month old. So I went to the front desk to see how they can help and as I approach I can hear them mutter under their breath "here comes the guy about the pool." I ask why they didn't inform us before hand or at check in and was told it just happened and it was too short notice to let people know. Alexi at the front desk lied to me to my face and turned pale after I told him the woman on the house phone said it's been out of service since Wednesday. He said it would have been too disruptive to let guests know it was closed I've never been treated as disrespectfully by at Bonvoy property as he treated me. We ended up packing all our stuff and moving to the Marriott next door. There was a very kind woman at the concierge desk at Sheraton that inserted herself into to conversation to offer some assistance. Alexi told me the best they could do was refund our room and that I had to book on the Bonvoy app at another property. The woman (I missed her name because I was furious) called the Marriott next door, spoke to the house manager to let them know of our situation. She brought a couple stuffed animals up to our room for the kids as we packed which was very kind.
Excellent downtown hotel, especially if you're visiting during the winter months. A major perk is that it is connected to both the Prudential Center and Copley Place, so you don't even have to go outside for shopping or dining. The lobby is comfortable and packed with amenities. The highlight for me was the huge pool and the fitness center, which are well above average for a hotel gym.
I almost never write reviews, but this experience was too infuriating to ignore. We booked a 1-bedroom suite through Chase to accommodate our family, but the hotel downgraded us to a standard single King and refused to fix it. This is incredibly disruptive for us, and since we are here specifically to be with extended family staying at the property, we can't just leave for another hotel. We are effectively trapped without the space we paid for, and the manager’s refusal to offer any solution or take any responsibility is unacceptable. Additionally, the manager informed us that the hotel was fully booked yet suites were available on their website immediately after our conversation. Do not stay here, there are plenty of other great hotels with professional staff in the area.
Completely renovated! The rooms are very comfortable. The decor is excellent. The lobby is very spacious with many seating areas, all perfectly decorated with a great aesthetic balance. Highly recommended for a stay while exploring the city, even on foot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We'll be back!
