It was my special day so I booked here because it shows the great view and the huge pool. So I paid more for the water view. And I got this view. And the pool is not opened. I am so disappointed. I would find other hotel at this price. It is all scam. Don't challenge your luck at this hotel.

Spent Saturday night there and WOW. Good service on the front desk, excellent room service. The view was gorgeous. And that bed! A joy to sleep in- although I woke up every two hours ????? and then went back into a deep sleep. The pool is a good size, but when I went there were no towels and the front desk didn’t send any over when I asked. And it was full of children, which was uncomfortable. The other thing was not getting my wake-up call. Four stars, though. And worth every penny.

This sonesta is not the same as in years ago. It used to be very top notch but the pool area has been changed and there are not enough chaise lounges. The sofa style cushions are filthy and the pool needs more cleaning as there is grime on the inside tile. The outdoor shower by the pool was dirty with suntan lotion and hair. There should be more cleaning throughout the day not just at night. The workout room seems very up to date and plenty of newer machines and weights. There is no valet but parking now seems to be included. The week night rate reflects the more budget aspect of the hotel now however the weekend/ holiday rate $500 for 2 double beds( not queen) with small size of room and no microwave seems a little steep. Room was clean and housekeeping available. Wish we had known about the on site Starbucks/ convenience stand upon check in as that would have been helpful. Of course the view out the window is still fabulous.

I had a terrific stay and really liked seeing how much the hotel has improved since being renovated. I felt fortunate to have gotten a corner room, which was spacious and had all windows on both sides. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a very rainy day and they gave me an umbrella to use, along with complimentary waters and helped with other questions I had as well. Also appreciate that the hotel is recognizing the world cup and it was a fun place to watch some cup games. I would definitely stay here again and in fact, look forward to it.

Visiting Boston is becoming a recurring event as our daughter moved there 2 years ago. The Royal Sonesta is in a great location, central to many places in Boston and has great river views. There have been some upgrades that have made rooms newer and fresh. The hotel staff at check has always been great and this past time, it was exceptional. Calvin, front desk manager, was awesome. He took the time to make some great recommendations, both in the hotel and at outside dining establishments. The new Scull and Keel restaurant at the hotel was awesome, recommend the Chicken & Waffles and the Tiramisu French toast. We liked the restaurant so much we ate there twice. Looking forward to our next visit

Nice hotel in a great location, almost anything is within about a 20 minute walk. Kerwin helped us check in at the front desk, and was absolutely amazing and was sure to help with all the questions and gave us an amazing room in the renovated East Tower. The pool is large and 9ft deep, and had a very comfortable temperature! Overall great experience!

The hotel is lovely! Very modern and beautiful. The rooms cute. And pool beautiful and salt water. Very clean building. Sadly, I did not get a chance to spend a lot of time there. I want to do a HUGE shout out to Calvin Cherry, the front desk manager I had the absolute pleasure of working with on Saturday night. I had something serious come up about two hours after I had checked in, and Calvin was so empathetic and considerate. He let me check out, full refund, and helped me every step of the way to make sure I got home with my daughter quickly.

I wanted to share how superb Calvin, Front Desk Manager was! Truly, absolutely phenomenal. His hospitality was outstanding and made this stay exceptional. I’m here on a work trip this time, but because of Calvin’s incredible service, I will absolutely return for a leisure stay in the future. He made a lasting impression, and its employees like him that make guests want to come back! Thank you, Calvin!

A Slam Dunk Stay at the Royal Sonesta Boston ????? My daughter and I recently traveled from New York to Boston for the Celtics game, staying at the Royal Sonesta Boston from April 4th to April 6th, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight of our stay was the world-class customer service. Calvin Cherry and Kevin at the front desk were absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel incredibly welcome, handling our check-in with a level of professionalism and genuine warmth that is rare to find. They were attentive to every detail and went above and beyond to ensure our trip was smooth and enjoyable. It’s clear they take great pride in their work, and they are a credit to the Sonesta team. The accommodations were equally impressive. Our room was consistently well-maintained thanks to the excellent housekeeping staff. It was spotless, comfortable, and served as the perfect home base for our weekend in the city. If you’re looking for a hotel that combines a great location with a staff that truly cares about the guest experience, I cannot recommend the Royal Sonesta Boston enough. We’ll definitely be back for our next trip to see the Celtics!
