The Residence Inn Boston/Braintree receives mixed reviews, highlighting both positive aspects like comfortable rooms, convenient locations, and friendly staff, along with significant concerns regarding noise levels and a high prevalence of dog guests. Recent reviews suggest an improving experience, particularly regarding cleanliness and breakfast options, but older feedback points to ongoing issues with responsiveness and facilities upkeep.
Decent hotel, it’s a bit rundown though and in need of some updates. They have a lot of people with dogs that stay there. I’m allergic and I wouldn’t have booked there if I would’ve known. One or two dogs is one thing but I came across at least 10. I was sniffly and sneezing the whole time. They should have something on their website and booking sites that says that they host a lot of animals or something like that. Also, it says that they have a restaurant on site but it’s not actually on site it’s next-door so there’s no room service, you have to go outside to get there, and you cannot do a room charge. They only have Netflix and YouTube on their streaming TV And sometimes it doesn’t work. They don’t allow you to connect your own HDMI cable from your own device to stream so entertainment is seriously lacking. The gym smells like chlorine because it’s right next to the pool and it’s very poorly ventilated. The front staff is lovely but a little bit complacent, and when I complained about the television not really working, and the fact that the hotel is listed as having a restaurant, the response was kind of like an “oh well”. Along with when I called them about not being able to get onto Netflix in the room. I guess they can’t really give you a food or drink credit considering there’s no restaurant. ?. I stay in a lot of hotels as I travel quite a bit for work. I don’t think I would stay at this one again unless everything else in the area was sold out. I did appreciate that they have a kitchen in the room.
We stayed three nights in a handicap room while a ceiling leak was being repaired. The room was superb. Easy maneuverability. Breakfast buffet was excellent.
My go to hotel to stay near Quincy. Staff is super friendly and rooms are great. Breakfast is included, which makes it very convenient for me.
Pros: nice rooms, well maintained, good breakfast, nice staff, over all good. Cons: it’s NOISY. The highway noise is constant, sometimes worse than others. The rooms is noisy also, we heard all our neighbors and the hallway the entire stay. This is the first hotel it’s been this bad. I live in NY in a very noisy area and this was worse. Just beware.
We were in town for a wedding weekend and this hotel was perfectly located. Loved that there were so many restaurants nearby, and having the mall right there was definitely a huge convenience. Comfortable, easy, and super convenient stay!
Very clean. Very comfortable. Very quite. The staff keep the place very energetic, they greet you every time you enter or exit warmly. The pool area is clean as well as the workout area. The coffee is always available which is a plus. Very satisfied with the room we were in. The breakfast options changed from day to day which was a great touch. Breakfast options were all good. I will definitely be returning on my next stay in Boston. The area also has plenty shopping and eateries within walking distance which is a major plus!
This hotel was everything — but honestly, that’s exactly what I expect from a Marriott! We almost always stay at Marriotts, and I have to say, this one truly took the cake. ? The room was spotless, the sheets were crisp, and the suite came with a full-size kitchen — which was such a nice surprise. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making the entire stay feel comfortable and easy. Breakfast was another highlight! ? They offered both chocolate and regular waffles (yes, chocolate!), and at one point even had breakfast tacos. There was a full spread of fruit, cereal, yogurt, and plenty of breads and pastries to round out your plate. If I find myself back in Massachusetts, I’ll definitely be staying here again. ?
People make the difference. I stayed a few days and got to know the front desk staff. They are wonderful and took care of everything. At times, I went to the lobby just to talk since I was there over the weekend. The hotel is nice and clean. A great place to stay.
We (family of 4) stayed here for 6 nights the last week of June and loved it! The room was nice and cold, the bathroom was big, and the kitchen was clean, updated and had everything we needed. The free breakfast was always well stocked and the dining area was really nice and comfy. The pool was great and always had towels. We used the laundry room as well, and it was clean and had multiple machines to use. We had issues buying detergent and getting quarters from the front desk. We never had issues finding a parking spot either. Also, the restaurant next door was SO good! Plus there are cute bunnies living in the landscaped area in front of the hotel. The kids always loved seeing them out there.
Convenient to many locations. Friendly staff. Efficient and decently laid out rooms. Shower was a little odd - glass walled alcove with no curtain/door - easily manageable but felt weird. Varied breakfast with lots of options for different dietary needs. Eclectic and memorable decor. One of my party thought the traffic noise on the highway facing rooms was a bit loud but I wasn't bothered.
