Raffles Boston redefines luxury with its impeccable blend of heritage, elegance, and contemporary sophistication. Set in a striking landmark, the hotel offers a serene sanctuary where every moment is infused with grace and refinement. From its artful design to its world-class hospitality, Raffles Boston delivers an experience that is both timeless and extraordinary. Here, the spirit of Boston meets the legendary charm of Raffles.
The Raffles Boston is consistently praised for its luxurious ambiance, impeccable service, and prime location in Back Bay. While guests rave about the beautiful property, outstanding dining, and attentive staff – particularly the butler service – some have noted minor inconsistencies in details and potential improvements in proactive service delivery, particularly regarding room amenities and anticipating guest needs. The hotel is considered a top-tier luxury option in Boston.
I'm awarding this hotel 5 stars in recognition of the beauty of the property, its outstanding dining venues, and the many things it already does exceptionally well. Located in a prime Back Bay location that's perfect for exploring Boston, the hotel has quickly become the city's "it" luxury property. While I believe it still has some work to do refining its service to meet the extraordinarily high standards associated with the Raffles name, I'm confident that will come with time as the frenzy surrounding this relatively new hotel settles down and the staff gains additional experience. The rooms are beautifully appointed and exactly what you would expect from a hotel in this category. The bedding is excellent, the views from the higher floors are terrific, and I especially appreciated the Saratoga water provided in the rooms... a personal favorite. The hotel's restaurant venues have become destinations in their own right and are understandably very popular. During my stay I enjoyed both Long Bar and Blind Duck (see my separate reviews). Unfortunately, I missed our family's dinner at La Padrona on this trip, they loved it. Given Chef Jody Adams' involvement, that's hardly surprising... she has an impressive track record... still think my many great meals at her Rialto restaurant. Raffles Boston is already an impressive addition to the city's luxury hotel scene. As the service continues to evolve and mature, I believe it has the potential to become one of Boston's truly great hotels.
1.Enter the room without consent at 4pm when we had a meeting and tried to charge a meeting room for $500 2. Reason for 1 is attached, you guys didn’t check and clean the room even we checked in at midnight so I assume you guys have plenty of time to clean up and check 3.Charged the brunches with city tax state tax and convenience fee. 4 No place to dispose of trashes so I need to go to the sky lobby. Let your management talk to me not me talk to your management before it gets ugly with formal complaints. Thanks. Sometimes I feel like hotels should use AI so at least we feel handled.
The most incredible and friendly service I’ve encountered from hotel staff. So many smiling faces that greeted us by name and made us feel welcome. Rory the butler stood out with his warm hospitality. The housekeeping staff, the valet parking staff and Guerlain representatives were all excellent too.
We booked two rooms as we were in town to celebrate our adult son's birthday. The adjoining rooms were luxurious, well-appointed, spotlessly clean, and the service was extraordinary. There were lovely personal touches like water bottles left on the night stand and treats delivered to the room while we were out for dinner. They even left birthday greetings in my son's room with thoughtful hand written notes on everything. We felt extremely well cared for the entire stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top tier experience and a bit of pampering. We look forward to staying there again.
Every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel like family. We had no reservation, but we’re extremely well Taken care of. It was hard to leave. Facilities were top notch, truly one of the best luxury city hotels in the world.
World-class service defines a great hotel — and Raffles Boston sets a new standard. Traveling alone, service matters — and Raffles Boston delivered in a way that felt genuinely thoughtful, not performative. I came in unsure how much the Butler concept would add — and it ended up elevating the entire experience. My butler, JD, met me personally and went far beyond a standard orientation. He made the experience feel personal — less like a tour, more like being hosted. The 17th-floor check-in feels more like arriving at a home than a lobby — warm, layered, and inviting. From the circular staircase to the mural-painted walls, beautiful fabrics, a houndstooth sofa in the reading room, the long bar with sweeping views, and green velvet couches, every detail feels intentional. I had lunch and a glass of Prosecco while taking it all in, and it felt effortless and elegant. I later spent time in a beautifully appointed suite, and what stood out most was how comfortable the staff made me feel throughout the day — warm, attentive, and present without hovering. That led to a lovely, unexpected experience meeting other guests and sharing champagne before connecting with friends later that evening. The speakeasy is a very cool venue, and the main restaurant is a must-do for my next visit. Raffles Boston isn’t just beautiful — it delivers a level of care I’ve rarely experienced, and I’ve traveled all over the world.
My husband and I recently stayed at the Raffles for 3 nights and we loved every minute of it. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles, pleasantries and the utmost respect. The entire booking & check-in experience was seamless and pleasant, thanks to Alyssa in reservations who went above and beyond to ensure our room & floor preference were catered to. Our room was ready early for us upon our request, and every detail was well appointed. The rooms were pristine, without smelling like terrible cleaning chemicals, which I deeply appreciated because I’m very sensitive to smells. The turn down service every night was lovely. And the Butler team was so accommodating. We ate breakfast at the Long Bar each morning and it was perfect. Lots of gluten free options for me, and the food was fresh, and excellent quality. Beckett and Kim were the sweetest servers and we looked forward to seeing them each morning. All of the hotel staff greeted my husband and I by name at every encounter. The spa area and pool were perfection. So clean, warm, and peaceful. It was truly a zen retreat for us. We bumped into Lauren Soriano (Director of PR) in the elevator and she was so kind and even went above and beyond to deliver a thoughtful note to our room later on. Overall, we had an incredible experience and cannot wait to return. We truly felt like we were surrounded by friends during our entire stay. Excellent location for walking/shopping to Newbury, Copley, Prudential, Back Bay, Beacon Hill and the South End. Can’t recommend it enough.
We stayed in a one-bedroom suite at Raffles Boston, originally booking the Emerald Suite and ultimately being placed in a comparable suite—and the experience was exceptional. The space was beautifully designed, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out, offering a true luxury suite feel rather than just an oversized hotel room. The living area was comfortable and elegant, perfect for relaxing or entertaining, while the bedroom felt calm and refined with an incredibly comfortable bed. The finishes, lighting, and attention to detail throughout the suite were exactly what you’d expect from Raffles—sophisticated without feeling overdone. Service was polished and seamless, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel feels intimate, elevated, and impeccably managed. Whether it was the room itself, the amenities, or the sense of quiet luxury, everything exceeded expectations. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the one-bedroom suites for anyone looking for a truly upscale Boston hotel experience.
I stayed at Raffles Boston for my birthday and the experience was incredible from start to finish. When we arrived, our room was beautifully set up with a small cake dessert and fruit, which made the stay feel so special and thoughtful. As soon as we entered the hotel, we were warmly greeted and offered help with our bags. Check-in was seamless, and the service throughout our stay was extremely attentive. They truly take their butler service seriously, I was honestly surprised by some of the other reviews because our experience was the complete opposite. They were always just a text away and even brought a microwave up to our room without hesitation. The room itself was spotless with gorgeous aesthetics, an amazing soaking tub, and a stunning view of the city that made the stay even more memorable. We also booked a couples massage at the spa and were absolutely blown away from the service to the amenities and the beautiful pool that not many people seem to know about. We definitely took advantage of room service, which was delicious, though we wish we had checked out at least one of the many on-site restaurants since we heard great things about them. Overall, an unforgettable stay and we will definitely be back!
Overall, a wonderful stay at Raffles Boston. I usually stay at Four Seasons and wanted to check out Raffles for a friend’s Christmas celebration. The staff was warm and welcoming throughout. The service felt a bit more subtle than the Four Seasons, but still excellent and attentive. A special shout out to Jason at the Long Bar for truly wonderful and kind breakfast service. The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Hands down, this is the best hotel gym I have ever experienced. The spa was lovely, clean, and relaxing, and the location simply cannot be beat. I will always love the Four Seasons, but Raffles is a very strong second option when staying in Boston.
