The Omni Parker House offers a historic and centrally located stay in Boston, praised for its convenient location near attractions and the Freedom Trail. However, recent reviews highlight significant billing issues, particularly with prepaid American Express bookings, alongside concerns about small room sizes and inconsistent service. Despite positive aspects like a charming property and friendly staff, some guests report frustrating operational problems.

Edit: I appreciate the hotel making it right, changing my review to reflect my overall experience including the follow ups. I’ll leave my original review here: Nice property, genuinely friendly staff… and a billing operation that I cannot in good conscience let other guests walk into blind. I booked a prepaid stay through American Express The Hotel Collection. The total was paid in full at booking; the only amount that should have hit my card from the hotel directly was approx $80 in resort fees. Instead, my Amex statement now shows five additional charges from the property totaling over $1,200 including a $500+ posted charge that appears to be for the room itself (which was already prepaid), two separate unexplained pending charges of approx $200 each, a duplicate fee that re-posted after being refunded… twice, and a $94 bar tab that the front desk explicitly told me would be applied against the Hotel Collection property credit and never was. I’ve called multiple times. Charges keep reappearing (every time I call another charge hits my card). Some folks I’ve reached have been able to fix it partially but I’ve already called 4 times. They’re friendly on the phone, but the underlying billing system or process is clearly broken. If you book direct and pay at checkout, you may be fine. If you book a prepaid rate through Amex Travel or any OTA, watch your statement like a hawk… and maybe be mentally prepared to dispute through your card issuer rather than rely on the hotel to fix it. The property already has everything great, but it deserves better billing systems. Either that or be prepared to sink an hour of your time into administrative limbo (I am genuinely sorry for the inconvenience to the staff that I’ve spoken to who I know are trying their best to fix it)

I recommend the Omni Parker House hotel for tourists and business visitors alike. It is a charming place with lovely up to date, very comfortable rooms. If you love beautiful, classic spaces that exude history and provenance, this is your hotel. The Parker House staff was warm and welcoming and we appreciated how well they looked after us throughout our stay. It is apparent that they are trained to provide next-level hospitality. The location is perfect for getting around - only 20 minutes to the airport and within walking distance to many of the sights. We used the subway system that has a station nearby to get around Boston and Cambridge. Lunch in the exquisite dining room was very enjoyable and we hope to find it re-opened for dinner when we return to stay here next time.

We just wrapped up a two-night stay in a Signature Room at the Omni Parker House and were so happy with our stay! The room was perfect for our family: plenty of space for us and our toddler and lots of good storage. We thought the bathroom was the right size and everything was so nicely redone. Having an actual closet was so helpful to keep our shoes and jackets out of the way. The beds, even the pullout couch, were very comfortable. The staff were all very welcoming and helped us make the most of our stay. Shea and Dani at the front desk were especially great with our son. We also had a housekeeping team member who kindly showed us that the pullout bed was already made when we asked for bedding. The location is spectacular and it was a great spot for us to walk nearly anywhere in the city! We felt it was totally reasonable to walk to the Children’s Museum, Old North Church, and of course the Common. My husband and I both agreed the Omni Parker House has found a spot on the list of our favorite hotels!

Amazing experience staying here! The location is amazing! It just doesn't get better than this. Super central to all the great neighborhoods and makes it for an easy exploration as a solo traveller. Initially there was a hiccup where the assigned room wasn't ready but then the reception was friendly, understanding and super helpful. They upgraded me to a better room. They also waived off some of the charges for the inconvenience so that was very kind! The hotel has amazing history and also the home of Boston Cream Pie! I tried it and it was amazing although a bit expensive. My room was quiet, had a view of the city. The bathroom was great! And the bed was super comfy. I wasn't sure earlier with my choice of hotel but I'm glad that I went with Omniparker for my first time in Boston.

We came in for a wedding. The entire stay was amazing. We got stuck 3 extra days as snow stopped the planes. LOL The entire staff was amazing. Ammonia Gomes was extremely friendly, great at here job. Our room always looked amazing. She went above and beyond for us and I know you all are lucky to have her as one of your staff. We truly enjoyed our stay and thank you all so much for everything.

I stayed here this weekend for a volleyball tournament. Booked a suite, it was spacious and comfortable for three people. (aside from our 2nd floor view of the alley, it was a nice room). The service was amazing, everyone was so helpful from check in to check out. My husband dropped his wallet in front of the hotel, with a large amount of cash in it, and the door man turned it in and nothing was missing. That honesty was greatly appreciated. the location was amazing, close to restaurants, walking distance or a quick train ride to all of our destinations. Breakfast at Parkers was great, and room service was good, but pricey. would stay again.

I haven’t stayed at this hotel since September 2025. At that time, it felt outdated, and although upgrades were in progress, they weren’t moving fast enough, so I chose other hotels instead. I returned last night and checked in with Ericka, she was absolutely amazing. I asked if the rooms had been updated, and she assured me they had. She was right, I’m officially back in love with this place. I know the hotel is historic and known for being haunted, so be sure to ask the front desk about its history, they’ll give you a packet and it makes the stay more fun. My night was peaceful, and the water temperature in the shower was perfect. The shower is a bit on the small side, but the upgrades more than make up for it. Happy staying!

The Parker House is our go to spot whenever we are in Boston. It’s beautiful and elegant. The staff are amazing! From Jacqui in guest services to our friends at The Last Hurrah…(hotel bar). Bartenders Ryan and Nick are outstanding as well as Hope…who will greet you with a smile and make you feel at home. Francisco, Peggy, Lillian, Andrew and John are the best! The Parker House and The Last Hurrah have become our “Boston Home” and should be yours too!

I came back to Omni Parker House and, like always, the hotel itself was beautiful, historic, super clean, and the service was excellent. The location is amazing too, you can pretty much walk everywhere. I was a bit disappointed with the iconic Boston cream pie, though. I remembered it being rich and creamy from years ago, but this time it tasted kind of bland and just average. Maybe the recipe changed, I’m not sure. Overall, we still had a great stay and really enjoyed our time there, Boston is always such a lovely place to visit.

Nice hotel in a great location. Rooms were a little on the smaller side but were clean and comfy. The staff was also very friendly as well - the only problem was the internet. It was super spotty and would keep disconnecting which was not ideal for working from home situations. The hotel store in the front area is super overpriced - over $7 for a bottle of water
