The Moxy Boston Downtown offers a stylish and centrally located experience in Boston, leveraging its prime location for easy access to downtown attractions and public transportation. Guests often appreciate the vibrant bar scene, friendly staff, and value for money, though some find the rooms to be small and the noise levels high at night.
Good value for money and an excellent location – downtown Boston is easily reachable on foot. The hotel has a nice bar, friendly service and delivers exactly what you would expect from a Moxy property. The rooms are small but reasonably modern and well designed. My room was on a higher floor, which made it quiet enough despite the central location. Overall, a solid choice for a city trip to Boston.
Staff was awesome! You check in at the bar on the second floor and they are welcoming and friendly. They provided recommendations and information as requested. The bathroom didn't have hand soap. No fridge, no microwave..... It is tight!! Like I would not recommend this for overweight people because there is very little space between the full wall of Windows and the bedside. The ADA room was tight and a wheelchair could definitely not get into the shower. But the door stays open for like 3 minutes automatically. I would recommend this hotel like I really enjoyed it and would stay here again
The service at this hotel was amazing. We had flown into Boston super early and had not slept went by the hotel only hoping to atleast store our luggage until we could check in. Jay the front desk attendant was phenomenal and allowed us to check in early and assisted with directions. We also got a voucher for $35 for food at the restaurant and 2 drinks at the bar. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a sound machine to help with city sounds. The bar was fun and lively drinks were good they even had a French 75 which I can't find anywhere in the south so I was happy about finding it here. All and all a great stay.
While it is true that the rooms are small, there are no closets and the noise from the intense night life is awful until 3-4 am, we did enjoy our stay at the Moxy. They give vouchers upon your arrival for the bar or breakfast, which is appreciated. They do charge an extra 81$ fee after the stay, which got me really surprised, and I can’t say I appreciated to see that charge on my credit card without knowing beforehand while booking. The staff is courteous and the rooms are clean. I suggest you don’t rely on amenities because they dried my hair and skin real bad. The best parts are the view and location of this hotel ! This is gold. We were on the 20th floor and the view was simply amazing. In the center of Chinatown, everything is from walking distance which is great. While I’m sure there are more UP hotels around, the Moxy was perfect for what we intended to do in Boston : a quick weekend to celebrate with partner, and not essentially living in the hotel room ! We didn’t need the car once and we just walked everywhere. It was great ! The decoration at the hotel is nice and gave a younger vibe. While a mini-fridge in the room would’ve been nice, one thing that should definitely be fixed is the hot water in the shower, that is probably linked to other rooms since hot goes to cold while trying to shower. I would also change the recorded message when you call, the « Oh hey there, we’re thrilled you’d like to chitchat (…) ». It stroke me how the female speaking sounds awfully nonchalant, and even makes you wonder if you’re going to get answered by the same lack of enthusiasm. Overall great, best fit for a 2-3 day weekend rather than a longer stay. Bring your ear plugs for better sleep. We could definitely stay there again.
WOW! The experience here was phenomenal.?The aestheic and atmosphere really made me feel like I was back in New York. Checking in & out was a smooth process. The employees were so friendly and happy to ask us questions on what brought my friend and I here in Boston. Breakfast was fulfilling and appealing to the eye. Other guests staying here are friendly and considerate. Would come here again!
Disappointed in our stay. Geared to a young trendy crowd. No coffee makers!!! no mini fridge or microwave. The room was tiny!! It had one platform bed. The city view was Cool but, I wish we picked a different hotel.
I loved Moxy! I stayed here for Valentine’s Day and I’m glad I did. The staff was very welcoming, friendly. They gave me free food and drink vouchers at the bar which was unexpected but so grateful! The bar has a great ambiance. It’s trendy, fun, lots of great comfy seating. I also appreciated having the option to a mini fridge. The staff brought it up to my room and it was perfect to preserve my leftover food. Although some may say the rooms are small, it was more than enough space for my partner and I. I only wished they provided a backup toilet paper roll so I don’t have to bother them for another one. I would stay here again!
Moxy is a boutique, trendy, perfectly situated downtown hotel. Rooms are small, simple, and clean. The public areas are energetic and artsy. The bedding and pillows are decent, not overly comfortable. You receive a ticket for a free drink each day and a $35 food voucher each day. Fun perk. But is actually a built in service fee. The location is perfect for walking around downtown, but very noisy at night. The view is beautiful. Personally, not my vibe.
We booked two rooms and had a wonderful stay at the Moxy. The location was fantastic and the business really felt geared towards customer satisfaction. Jerry at the front desk was incredibly helpful, and our check-in came with drink and food vouchers for the bar. Affordable Valet Parking was right across the road and there were lots of restaurants and attractions nearby. The secret comedy show we had booked weeks before also ended up being at the rooftop bar, which on the coldest night of the year, was very welcome. Definitely would recommend for a fun, easy, stay right in the heart of Boston!
From the moment our lyft driver pulled up to Moxy in downtown Boston we knew we were going to love the hotel. You walk in and are greeted with industrial architecture accompanied by cool art, and a display of mannequins in the window that give a total art vibe. We immediately took advantage of the selfie photo cubicle. We proceeded to the check in desk on the 2nd floor. Amazed by the cool style, and architecture. The front desk staff was great and made check in a breeze. We were given 35$ vouchers for each day that you can use for food, or drinks at their cool bar. We were also told to enjoy one of the signature cocktails at the bar on the house. Jacklyn was our first bartender and she was so fun and was happy to welcome us to the hotel. Savion our other bartender was also fantastic, and recommended some great places for us near the hotel. The location is top notch, walking distance to practically anything downtown including public transit. On top of all the great things from the staff, to our incredible view, the price was very reasonable for a downtown hotel. It was our first time staying at a Moxy and we look foward to checking out the other sister hotels when traveling. Would highly recommend The Moxy.
