I arrived at The Bostonian last week for my 10 year old daughter volleyball tournament. We arrive late like at 9 pm. We noticed heater was not working right away. I tried using room phone and wasn’t working either. I advised front lobby and they said a technician was coming over. My daughter had gotten ready to sleep and I put her Beats headphones in drawer of nightstand as we regularly do that. After an hour , I went back downstairs and they said they were going to change me to a different room. After me and my daughter moved to a different room, she forgot to grab headphones from drawer. In the morning heading to the tournament, she noticed about her headphones. As we were leaving, I advised front lobby that we had left headphones in drawer of first room. I said I’d pick them up coming back from tournament. When I got back, I went straight to lobby and they said they didn’t find any headphones. I was in disbelief. I personally put them inside drawer. I told them, at this point they were stolen. I talked to main manager and he said he was going to speak to lead housekeeping. As of today, I have gotten to phone call from anybody. Beware of this hotel. They will steal your belongings.

Here's an honest review. 2/27-3/1/2026. The hotel price was comparable to other hotels in the area. I paid in full well in advance, but they sent me a confirmation in computer code that was unreadable. The fees are ridiculous. $ 30 per night and they hold $100 per nights stay. They then deduct the fees from your $100 per night. So five nights would be a hold of $500.. The room was dated and a wonky bath tub set against a wall giving very little shower space. The kick boards against the wall were covered in DIRT. Shelves hadn't been wiped. I crawled into bed after a long flight only to smell body odor on my pillow cases. This is a dirty below average stay. If your thinking this is comparable to the Park Plaza, you would be mistaken. Complimentary bottled water....There was none. The refrigerator was not working and I doubt it ever did. I have been to gas station bathrooms that had better bathroom soap. Stay just outside of downtown Boston and voila no fees! At least double tree gives you a free cookie. Room service you will need a small loan for and the menu is not very good! $18 for breakfast sandwich????? Guess what more fees to bring it to your room and a tray fee?? You can do much better not staying here. You will definitely feel taken advantage of! That was my first and last time staying in this or any millennium hotel!

Will never choose to stay here again. The location is the only positive. As in it’s centrally located. But you will hear LOTS of drumming, and lots of nightlife. This is not the hotel’s fault. It’s the downside to being right outside Faneuil Hall. The people at the front desk are rude and forgetful. Never got a smile from anyone but the luggage man and when I asked for a bathrobe, the guy at the front desk passed the task off to someone else but forgot to pass along the correct room number. The rooms are run down and disgusting. We stayed in a standard double room and the dust in the room was pretty gross. The balcony door’s lock was barely functional(inexcusable when you know you have small children in a room), the tub fixtures were falling off the tub, and the ice machine on the 3rd floor did not function properly. It’s the only ice machine on the property. I will pay less to stay at a nicer hotel next time.

The Bostonian is a well-located hotel, right near Fanueil Hall and Quincy Market, but it looks like a place in transition. The on-site restaurant, North 26, has a nice layout, but the breakfast service is at best passable. The mini bars (at least the one in my room) are empty; there are no snacks or drinks to be had. The $30 per day "destination fee" made no sense to me, in spite of the page I was handed at check-in explaining it. While my room was big and comfortable, the king sized bed was hard as wood.

Great location-walking distance to everything. Hotel needs updating but would not deter me from staying again. One issue upon leaving one of our Phone chargers was missing and was definitely left in the car when we dropped off the valet upon arrival.

My husband and I stayed in a beautiful room with a juliette balcony and a fireplace. We could watch faneuil hall from the window. Management was very accommodating and honestly, elegant. We ended up having a really good time, and the location can't be beat. Breakfast in the morning was also fire.

My husband and I booked a night here after a day full of appointments at Boston Children’s. We were given a complimentary room upgrade which was great. The woman at the front desk was a doll, I wish I had asked her name. Service has only 2 stars because we booked a winter getaway and did not receive all the perks. We were supposed to get a Dunkin gift card, robes, and slippers. My husband had to ask for the robes and slippers when we didn’t see them in our room. The manager was not “around” so we didn’t receive our Dunkin gift card. There’s no creamer or sugar or even water in the room for coffee, so we were looking forward to complimentary coffee in the morning but did not receive any. The room was very cozy and the bathroom was updated, however, some of the walls were ripped and carpet was old. The location is fantastic, steps to the north end. I left another review for the restaurant and that whole situation really got under our skin. I think overall the hotel is worth it if you want to be right in the center of the north end and Faniel Hall, however for the prices that you pay, including the ridiculous resort fee I think people should consider elsewhere. For $30 all we got were a few water bottles. The gym is small and difficult to find. There’s no complimentary coffee in the lobby. We have stayed at a few other boutique hotels up in Ogunquit and Mystic where the hotels charge a destination/resort fee but you get hot coffee, champagne upon arrival, mid day cookies, pools, hot tub, etc. I’d like to see the Bostonian offer more for the charge.

I had a great experience with the hotel and its staff during my stay in mid-November. The location was excellent—right downtown and very convenient—and the service during my visit was genuinely enjoyable. Based on the stay alone, I would have left a very positive review. Unfortunately, my experience after checkout has significantly overshadowed that stay. I accidentally left a personal item in the room and contacted the hotel promptly. Lost and Found confirmed they had retrieved the item, but I was told I needed to coordinate directly with the general manager. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, I received no response until I began copying the corporate email address. I was later told the item was shipped on December 23rd, yet there has been no change in the shipping status, and I still have not received it. This situation is not about the money—it’s about the amount of time and effort I’ve spent trying to resolve something that should have been straightforward. It’s disappointing that such a positive stay has been overshadowed by how this was handled, and even more frustrating that the issue remains unresolved. I truly wish this had been managed with the same level of care shown during my stay.

1 night stay for a flight out of BOS, picked the hotel due to location and reasonable price for layover. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Although it’s lacking amenities, front desk lady was not very professional.

The service was so friendly, and the Christmas decorations were beautifully done! The rooms were spotless, the beds were incredibly comfy, and the bathroom was spacious, complete with double showerheads and lots of mirrors; inside and out, which was super handy. Plus, the location was fantastic, right in the heart of things and just a short drive to the airport. It wasn’t too noisy, and the view was stunning, offering a great look at downtown. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I’d definitely book again on my next trip to Boston!
