Meco stands out as having true "capsule" like spaces that are a step up from traditional hostels. The pods are the only ones I choose to stay in, and they feature beds that automatically sit up for reading, lights, and curtains for privacy. Amenities are modern, clean, and efficient. Location is great as the TD Garden stadium and T line (Green) is right across the street, with lots of shops (7-Eleven, CVS, Star Market) within 1 block. There is ample underbed storage, featuring a rolling tray that is as big as the twin bed, and you can lock your personal items with a lock (free from the front desk if you ask). This is probably as close as we'll get to "capsule" or "pod" hotels in the USA and highly recommended over traditional hostel hotels, which are just bunk beds.

We stayed at the Meco Hotel with three friends in a private room in October 2025 and we loved everything about it. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel was spotless, and you could tell they really care about every detail, with beautiful art on the walls and a friendly atmosphere. The location is perfect, only one block from the train station, which made it easy for us to go to Salem and other nearby places. It is also very close to the arena (just in front of it) where games take place, and just a short walk from downtown. There are many restaurants, cafes, and 24-hour shops right around the corner. Our room was quiet, private, and very comfortable. We had our own bathroom. I found the bed super comfy and love to have my own space. On the top roof, there is an open space where you can relax, hang out, or even do some work, which was a nice plus. We were so happy with our stay and would definitely come back again.

I first stayed at MECO Hotel in the summer of 2024, when I decided to explore the East Coast for the first time. Back then, I told myself that if I ever came back to Boston, this would be the place I’d return to, and I actually did! Coming back here felt familiar and comforting. The staff still have the same warm, polite, and welcoming attitude, and everything about the place remains just as I remembered, super clean, well-organized, and beautifully designed. There’s a special sense of harmony in the design, modern yet cozy, simple yet full of character. Even though it’s technically a hostel, it honestly feels more like a boutique hotel. The rooms are quiet, the beds are comfortable, and they even provide shampoo and towels, which makes the stay very convenient. During my stays, I also got to meet many amazing people from around the world, and that’s actually the whole concept behind MECO, “Me & Company,” as the owner told me!! It truly creates a sense of connection and community in the heart of the city. If you hang there long enough, you’ll be part of the MECO family, at least that’s how I feel. I’ve stayed in many places across the East Coast, but this place stands out for its calm atmosphere, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home while still giving you that refreshing, travel-inspired energy. Located right in the heart of Boston, it’s a perfect blend of comfort, style, and warmth. A 5-star experience without a doubt!!

Great location, but had several issues. Foremost, there was clear evidence someone was staying in my bunk while I was out and stole items — the very helpful person at the desk that night moved me to another room, but after my stay all management did was shrug and say it wasn’t their fault. No attempt to make things right! Smaller nitpicks are the way they bill this as a “pod hotel”, when it’s really a stock-standard hostel with (noisy) roll-down curtains in front of each bed, the lockers (super far under the bed, so I had to crawl under the bedframe to retrieve any items I needed), and the fact that the door to the shared room didn’t shut automatically, so often the door was left cracked open (another safety concern). If I needed cheap accommodations next time I was in Boston I would probably just go to the HI and get more amenities.

everything about meco was very convenient given the price. i truly enjoyed my stay here, however, the only thing i’d say is the shampoo, body wash, and hand soap all seem to be the same blue liquid. it made my hair rly dry, so if you’re particular about hair care, etc. i’d recommend bringing your own shampoo/body wash.

I had such a wonderful stay at the estate. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating, always making sure I felt comfortable and welcome. The property was spotless and beautifully maintained, and the beds were so comfortable — I slept better than I have in ages. A special mention to the owners, Jereem, Nicole, Matheus, and Gunish, who are genuinely warm and caring people. Their hospitality and personal touch made the experience even more special. You can tell they put their heart into making guests feel at home. I would highly recommend this estate to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and truly welcoming place to stay.

I loved my stay here! Great for the price and very comfortable and clean. I was solo traveling, so I especially loved that I could leave my bag in a security locker under my bed. The location is also right by the train station, so it makes getting around super easy. I highly recommend this place!

My experience here has been so great. Everyone in the dorm is very respectful to the quiet times. I never expected to be able to decompress after a long day of working at a con, but I have been able to hear as soon as I pull the curtain down in my little pod. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are clean. The only criticism I would give it is that the pillows are very flat so I recommend bringing your own.

I had never stayed in a place like this before, so I was initially skeptical. To my pleasant surprise, this spot was not only affordable and convenient, but the service and cleanliness were truly outstanding! My short stay here exceeded all expectations. The staff and owner were incredibly accommodating, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful in every way a guest could hope for. The comfort, safety, and overall experience were far beyond what I had imagined. The location is unbeatable—walking distance to restaurants, museums, the zoo, the aquarium, TD Garden, and so much more! I rented a car but quickly regretted it since I ended up walking everywhere comfortably or taking a short Lyft from this location -if staying in the downtown area. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Downtown Boston at Meco and have already started looking into booking my next stay sooner rather than later! This place is highly recommended for travelers who are on the go and need a clean, convenient, and accommodating stay. A huge thank you to the staff who assisted me during my visit—you were absolutely phenomenal! See you all again soon!

I really really enjoyed my stay here. I will definitely be staying here again. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping the bathroom areas and rooms clean. The staff was very kind and helpful. The area is perfect with the train stop being a 3 minute walk away and plenty of activities to do.
