The Kimpton Marlowe Hotel consistently receives positive feedback, praised for its stylish design, comfortable rooms, and exceptional staff, particularly Irina and the restaurant team. Guests highlight the hotel’s convenient location, vibrant atmosphere, and thoughtful amenities like the breakfast and cocktail bar. While some guests mention minor issues like occasional noise or housekeeping inconsistencies, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, particularly for events and as a dog-friendly destination.

I recently stayed at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel in Cambridge, and overall it truly felt like a little oasis. From the moment I walked in, the hotel smelled clean and pleasant, which immediately set the tone for a relaxing stay. As someone staying alone, I also felt very safe and comfortable throughout my stay, which I truly appreciated. The room itself was aesthetically beautiful, very clean, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was amazing, and the bathroom was just as comfortable and well-kept. I also had a really nice view, which made the whole experience feel even more peaceful. The staff were exceptional and accommodating throughout my stay. Irina at guest services was especially wonderful, so friendly, informative, and welcoming. Irina took the time to explain several benefits connected to my credit card, which I really appreciated. Parking was also very convenient. Overnight parking at the garage would have been about $30, but the hotel validated it, so I only ended up paying $4 for my one-night stay, which was great. Another pleasant surprise was the bathroom products. The shampoo and body wash were exquisite. I usually don’t use hotel toiletries because my skin can be sensitive, but the brand they use was a great concoction. I was able to use them without any irritation. The restaurant was another highlight. I had what might honestly be the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. It was creamy, fresh, and delicious. I paired it with a cocktail called the Ha Cha Cha, which was the perfect complement to the meal. I also ordered their “thick fries,” which definitely lived up to the name. Very thick, very tasty, and served with a delicious harissa aioli sauce that paired perfectly. The restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming as well, and I wish I had gotten all their names. I also ordered breakfast the next morning. My order did come out slightly wrong . I received an extra sandwich that I didn’t order and was initially charged for. However, the staff handled it quickly and professionally. They refunded the extra item and even let me keep the sandwich, which was a kind gesture. The breakfast sandwich itself was really delicious. The only thing I wish the hotel had was room service, which would have made the experience even more relaxing. I did have to go downstairs to sign off on the order, but I understand they were busy. For context, I’m a mom and full-time student who had just finished my finals, and my partner booked this stay for me to rest and recharge. The hotel really provided a beautiful environment for that. My only other small issue was with housekeeping. The hotel offers a generous 4 PM checkout, which I was grateful for. I truly appreciate how eager housekeeping was to keep the space clean and maintained. However, they came to the room about three times while I was sleeping. After the first time I let them know I had late checkout, but they still came in twice more. To be fair, I forgot to put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door because I was exhausted and assumed the message might have been communicated. As someone who appreciates thoughtful hospitality and small details, this stay really stood out to me. Aside from those small hiccups, everything else about the stay was wonderful. Thank you to the staff for creating such a welcoming environment. I will absolutely be back. I will absolutely be back. And honestly, I wish I had taken more photos of the space but I was truly there to relax and unplug, which I guess is a good sign.

Dog friendly (no pet fee), dog bowl and pet bed was offered to use. Clean rooms, quiet, The hotel charges a $25 destination fee per night and that covers free bike and kayak rentals (first come first served) and a $10 destination credit that can be used in the restaurant. The bed, pillows, and linens were very comfortable. My only critique is the condition of some of the fixtures in my room. The shower temperature control handle was loose, wallpaper seemed to be in poor condition in some spots, and closet door handles weren’t level. Cambridge is convenient to most Boston attractions. If you have a capital one card and book via their portal, you can get additional benefits such as a $50 experience credit to use at the restaurant or other areas of the hotel (can be used for parking too) I parked at a garage nearby (245 1st st) at a rate of ~$17 for 24 hrs Definitely would stay again!

We booked a hotel block for our wedding guests to stay at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel during our wedding last weekend, as well as stayed there ourselves for two nights. Everything was perfect! In the lead-up to our wedding, Haley was always available to answer any questions that we or our guests had. Upon arrival, our guests complimented the rooms, the amenities, and the friendliness of the staff. For our room, hotel staff had provided chairs and mirrors for the hair- and make-up session. After the wedding, they surprised us with a bottle of champagne and strawberries. We highly recommend booking the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel for your wedding. A special thanks to Haley for providing such excellent support!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel! From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by the warm and attentive staff. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. I loved the hotel’s stylish, modern design — it felt both elegant and comfortable at the same time. My room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and offered stunning views of the Boston skyline and the Charles River. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and amenities that made my stay feel extra special. The location was perfect for me — close to great shopping and dining, and an easy walk into Boston. Everything I needed was right there. I truly enjoyed my experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

A perfect Urban hotel features the greatest and most comfortable rooms, professional and accommodating as well as helpful staff and a great location. Make this a perfect Boston area destination. All the staff members at the hotel are very helpful, knowledgeable and professional which makes every small issue easy. The hotel is joined with the Cambridge shopping mall. Just a quick walk through the indoor parking lot which makes the move smooth and easy. Fantastic valet service for a very affordable price and don't miss on the restaurant on the hotel with the perfect bartenders that makes the meal a happy and great one.

I stayed here for a couple of days. Check-in/check-out was quick and the front desk staff were very friendly. The hotel is very nice, clean, quite and looks new. My room was great. Very spacious, very clean, very modern and the bed/bedding was awesome. I slept like a baby. The lobby, lounge areas were great. The onsite restaurant (Bambara) was fantastic. Great staff and very friendly. The food was very good (Smoked St. Lous Ribs). The text messaging service option was great. The staff (Garrett & Michael) replied promptly and offered instant updates on any questions I had. I would definitely book this hotel again on my next visit to Boston/Cambridge.

Spectacular visit, and even MORE spectacular staff! Shout out to Garrett, Sophie, Michael (sorry we’re forgetting a few other helpful peoples’ names ?) The hotel itself has great amenities and activities (to name a few—- delicious complimentary coffee in the morning, and a fun Campari spritz in the evening!) Also a wonderful dinner menu (we tried a wide sampling and literally everything was great.) But above and beyond were the staffs’ helpfulness, and great energy! (Bonus shout out to Garrett and his awesome pink coat) Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! Cheers!

I'll admit, Boston has been a hard city to find a hotel that suits my needs at an appropriate price. As the new ownership of my formerly preferred Marriott has turned their Cambridge hotel into a scam, I decided to give Kimpton a chance. My experience with IHG, and especially Kimpton has been very positive (mostly in Philadelphia). The Marlowe was another great example of what IHG is doing right, a comfortable hotel with some personality in a great location. The hotel is super dog friendly - so dog friendly in fact that our room still has a good amount of pet hair when we arrived. I'll say they absolutely offered to do another cleaning and remove it, and we felt it was not worth it - still, if absolute cleanliness is your first priority (and you aren't traveling with pets) maybe another hotel is a better fit. The location is ideal, with an underground connection to the local mall allowing an easy morning coffee and quick start to a day. Tons of shops in the mall mean if you forgot anything, you don't have to worry, and plenty of shopping to be had. The hotel was wonderfully festive and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They were quick to adjust our checkout time to suit our needs and responsive throughout our stay. This will be my primary Boston/Cambridge hotel moving forward, and I hope I'll not need to find another.

Had the absolute best time at the Kimpton with our pup Luka. We were celebrating our anniversary and they provided over the top service and surprises. The entire staff was wonderful from check in, to happy hour, to restaurant service and house keeping. We had breakfast and a dinner at Bambara and everything was delish! They also had their miracle Xmas pop up bar while we were there. The hotel is also so dog friendly! They had a dog bed, dog bowls, treats, poop bags and toys in the room for us. Couldn’t recommend this kimpton enough! Can’t wait for our next stay :)

Hotel Marlowe is right next to Lechmere Canal Park and across from the Charles River with spectacular views of the Boston skyline. This is such a cool and offbeat spot for a wedding. I absolutely love photographing weddings here. The courtyard area which is often used for cocktail hour will truly wow your guests. Inside the hotel there are so many unique spots for photos, including a stunning staircase. Rachel and the entire staff are not only professional and organized but super fun to work with on the big day. Book your wedding here now, I'm sure their calendar fills up quickly!
