Guests consistently praise the Inn at Hastings Park for its hospitality, thoughtful room details, and delicious, seasonally inspired dining, particularly noting the friendly demeanor of the staff and the cozy atmosphere. However, the recent reviews reveal significant inconsistencies and relevance issues regarding the dining experience, with some recent visitors describing terrible food quality, while others noted the restaurant was closed.
This is for the igloo reservation not the hotel itself. Just want to state that the food and service were good, Judy was amazing. However the buffet portion is small with a selection raw oysters, shrimp, bagels fruits and assorted puddings and pastries. The main plates were delicious and filling though. 4 drinks and the buffet for two people came out to almost 400 dollars in total if you include the 120 dollar reservation. The website states four igloos but we could only see two, and there was no Bluetooth speaker to use as mentioned as well. Food and service was a plus but not for this price just to reserve basically a patio table.
Didn't stay at the inn. Met for dinner who were in town for a wedding. Nice building, updated yet traditional New England. Food was good, service was good. Would recommend to visitors.
Dinner at the Inn's main restaurant was terrible. The oysters came without their sauce or lemon; the steak tartare was abominable and left me vomiting and with diarrhea all night; the char was bland and dry; and the salads were small though we were told they were "entrée size." The hotel room was tiny and very far away from the elevator which we specifically requested to be close to. The long walk included a slope without a railing. Very inconvenient and dangerous for those with physical challenges. Snotty front desk woman (NOT Ben who was kind and attentive) and not helpful or accommodating at all. Breakfast is beyond lame--warm fruit and mass-produced pastries. Sad and disappointing experience at all!
This is a review of the Sunday buffet brunch ONLY. Pros: raw oysters and shrimp cocktail in the buffet, mostly friendly service (except the hostess), food was decent, nice ambiance, they gave us 10% off for a long wait for our ordered dishes (>40 minutes, when they were only half full). Cons: No one at the front desk of the hotel anytime we were there; we had to wander around to find the restaurant. Crumbs on our chairs when we were seated, and the hostess just watched and said nothing as I brushed them off each chair one by one. Hostess was in the middle of eating when she greeted us. Gave us sourdough when we chose English muffins as our choice of bread with the ordered entree. Accidentally charged us an extra person's cost, and we only caught it because we examined the bill before paying. Hostess wasn't there to give me my coat back from the coat check. Kind of small buffet, not very exciting entree choices.
We hosted our wedding reception at the Inn at Hastings and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The private space was beautifully decorated, cozy and warm, and it created the perfect atmosphere for conversation and family time. What made it extra special was how the team customized a menu that reflected both of our backgrounds, Vietnamese and Korean. The food was incredible and so authentic that our parents said it felt like being back in their home countries. The service was also fantastic. Every staff member was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our day perfect. If you’re thinking about having a micro wedding reception, I can’t recommend the Inn at Hastings enough. We’re so grateful for the unforgettable memories they helped us create. Thank you so much!
Amazing place! We enjoyed our brief stay so much! Comfortable rooms, each one different. Service in the bar and restaurant is perfect. We were unable to try try the restaurant for dinner, but the breakfast was very nice. The location is perfect, just a short walk to Lexington Green.
A quick one night stay at this beautiful property leaves me wanting to come back as soon as possible! The Inn is beautifully appointed and the room was so very comfortable and charming. The best part, however, was the staff. Everyone who I encountered was beyond friendly and welcoming, and I truly appreciate each and every one of them. Thank you for making me feel so at home.
Went to Concord for my high school reunion. Checked in to Colonial Inn in Concord and checked out almost immediately. Room was cramped and dirty. Moved to Inn at Hastings Park. It was lovely. Food was good. Room delightful...even if Lexington is Concord's arch rival, Inn at Hastings Park was the far superior hotel. Colonial Inn should take lessons.
Amazing, Bed & Breakfast tucked away in the beautiful suburban town of Lexington, MA. The charm of the Inn speaks to both the old and new world charming decor. Rooms are generous enough in space, yet reflecting the Intimacy of boutique accommodations. Upon our arrival, we were noticed, greeted, and welcomed by all of the inns staff. The hostess of the night was attentive immediately to our questions, regarding the area, and made us feel right at home. We were escorted with assistance with our luggage to our room, #30. We shortly went for dinner, but at our return noticed turn-down service and complementary dark-mint chocolates were provided. The bedding, linens, bath towels, were amazingly soft and comfortable. The continental breakfast is includedwith thr stay and did not disappoint. Fresh local fruit, homemade pastries, jam, ans homemade yogurt were filling. The menu added additional hot items from omelets, pancakes, oat, to eggs your way. We chose the omelets and they were delicious! Not to mention the wonderful homefries. We ate breakfast there every morning Dinner, was outstanding! From the restaurants recor embracing a clean, simple yet modern-day take on the past, was well complimented the overall theme of the inn. Wait staff were friendly, engaging and accommodating and served with pleasure. The food was a dance on the pallet of clean, healthy, deliciousness, on a plate. Nothing was missing with the temperature, which was maintained throughout the meal and seasoned perfectly. We each enjoyed our meals: Hastings Birger, Roasted Chicken, Hanger steak, and Lamb chop, cooked to perfection, with perfect pairings of starch & veggies. We chose the Strawberry shortcake with a scoop of vanilla icecream every nite, it was delicious! Our last evening there, we were able to speak with the inns owner, Tricia, who has the most beautiful spirit. It was such a pleasure speaking with her. We definitely will be returning for future respite and will definitely spread the news about this New England gem. Thanks for a wonderful stay! The Hammond's(Ron & Steph) We definitely will be returning
Such a gem. The staff is outstanding, all extremely kind and professional. The bartender was great, the drinks, especially their rotating savory cocktail is really quite special, we tried the “figtini” with house made goat cheese infused vodka. Lovely spacious rooms.
