The Inn at St. Botolph is consistently praised for its prime Back Bay location, spacious suites, and friendly, personalized service. However, guests have reported issues with room cleanliness in older units, dated decor, and interior design features that pose a collision hazard.
Great hotel in a fantastic location! Size of the room was so comfortable. Would def stay here again when visiting my kid at Northeastern.
We loved this inn, our room and the Back Bay location at Inn at St Botolph, felt very safe, the staff was so helpful and amazing!! Hope to stay again when visiting Boston.
Stroll through quiet, charming city streets just one block away from the hustle and bustle of busy Boston. Excellent, spacious accommodations, personalized service, with continental breakfast. Make your stay more enjoyable by staying at the Inn!
Pros: Great location, easy check-in with all details in advance, kind lady in the lobby, free water/juices, and free washer/dryer. Cons: Room was spacious but dated (carpet in bad shape) and not as clean as expected.
A beautiful and quaint little inn nestled in Back Bay. The rooms felt comfortable, and the folks at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was continental - bagels, cereal, etc - but appreciated. The location was convenient as well - walkable to just about anywhere downtown. I would gladly stay here again!
The Good: very close to metro 3 minutes , close to Logan Express 10 minutes, 25 minutes to Fenway. Front desk was helpful. The Bad: Breakfast was very basic. Room walls too thin. Too much noise from people above. Glass on shower door sharp (room 304). Room was nice size but having a hanging lamp in the middle of the room makes room feel smaller and is borderline stupid! My wife is 5’7 and she banged her head numerous times. I am 6’3 and I almost knocked myself out. See pictures.
A Hidden Gem in Back Bay – Another Fantastic Stay! This was our second time staying at The Inn at St. Botolph, and once again, it exceeded our expectations! The location is absolutely perfect—tucked away in Back Bay but close to transport links, making it easy to explore Boston. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, with luxury toiletries that add a special touch. The views from the hotel are excellent, adding to the charm of the stay. A special mention to Jordan and the rest of the staff, who were incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our visit. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. This boutique hotel is a hidden gem, offering a quiet and cozy retreat in the heart of the city. We can’t wait to return for another stay!
We stayed for 5 nights in a two bedroom executive suite on the fourth floor during a brutally hot week in June. The central A/C worked great and kept us cool. The suite was spacious with lots of natural light and a pleasant view of the pretty brownstones on the quaint street where the inn resides. It was great to have desks in each bedroom and a large table in the sitting area for meals. We liked the ability to enter the building and our room with a code so we didn’t have to keep track of a key or wait in a long line to check-in. The common area on the ground floor has a machines for coffee and cold filtered water, and a refrigerator stocked with complementary bottled water and juices - a real plus! Even through the continental breakfast was sparse, we loved the big, thick fresh English muffins which we were able to bring upstairs to toast in the toaster oven in our kitchenette so we could enjoy in the privacy of our suite. Our only compliant is that the suite was not well-cleaned when we arrived. There were crumbs on the couch and in the crevices of the ottoman, and the couch was a little damp and smelled like the last residents had spilled cake on it. The nice gentleman working at the desk that evening offered to vacuum up the crumbs from the ottoman since the cleaning service had left for the day, and accommodated our request to provide extra sheets and blankets we could drape over the couch to cover crumbs/smell. When we later asked to have the room cleaned after we were settled, we were told that would cost us $50 out of pocket which we declined. If it weren’t for this, our stay would have been perfect.
Spent 4 nights here and as my wife said as we were leaving " I would definitely stay here again". Rooms are a great size. It's an easy walk to the Prudential center, as well as the T. Even though you are just one block from the hustle and bustle of the Prudential area, the immediate area around the hotel is a quiet residential feel. Never had an issue with noisy neighbors or such, we did notice the sound of the elevator but honestly that just sounded like an air conditioner kicking on and only lasted a couple of seconds. Breakfast consisted of bagels, yogurts, fruits, oatmeal and juices. However, we loved this because it was an easy way to get a little food in our stomach before venturing out for the day.
