I adore the Inn at St Botolph! Treated myself to a suite (four post bed? Oh, thank you!) which was so very comfy and, despite being in the ground floor by the entrance, was very quiet indeed! Fantastic welcome by the wonderful girls on the reception desk, which made me feel so at home after my transatlantic flight. Super value for money too! I hope to be back later in the year!

Where do I even begin? The staff of this place are simply outstanding. We had a very important delivery which arrived out of the schedule we shared with them which required their active help and they went above and beyond to accommodate. Beyond that, Tom provided recommendations for restaurants and areas, took an interest in our plans. The rooms were perfect for what we needed and everything is great condition. 5/5 cause I can’t give any more stars. We felt super welcomed and attended for. Thank you to Tom and team, we will be back in Boston soon!

I was so excited to stay at this inn. However, the experience was so disappointing. WUhen we entered the room, the first thing I noticed was stains on the carpet, and very run down furniture and trim. I tried to be positive and look beyond those things. The bed was super comfortable. The next morning I told the manager how nice the room was, again trying to make the stay more pleasant. When I returned to the room after having coffee, my husband said he only had five minutes in the shower before it got very cold. I decided to wait until later for my shower. That afternoon I got in the shower and it got cold within 5 minutes and I rinsed off in cold water. We went to the person on duty who said they would call a plumber. We were told we could leave and they would refund our unused nights. At this point I did not know if I could find a reasonable place to stay. We were ultimately offered a new room to stay in, which we accepted. That night we went out and returned to the hotel at 9:45. Our code to our room did not work, and there is nobody on duty in the hotel at night. I had to spend 1/2 hour in the hallway making calls to have the code changed. The next morning we were moved to our new room. My husband had a decent shower, but later when I turned it on, I waited and waited for the water to warm up. I called the woman at the desk to come feel the water. She put her hand in the tepid water and said yes that is hot. At that point I gave up. She wrote me a somewhat snarky email saying that she stayed in our initial room and had a very long hot shower and that their plumber was able to get hot water, and that maybe we don’t know how to use the water valve. The other problem I experienced was that I plugged my iPad and iPhone into the outlets on the lamp overnight. When I awoke, I noticed that they would no longer charge. I took them to the Apple Store on Boylston, and I was informed that those charging stations that are part of a lamp or other appliance have a history of ruining the batteries of devices. I needed to replace both my iPad and my iPhone. I called the general manager, and he was incredibly rude. He took no responsibility for these issues. Do not stay at the inn at st. Botolph. You have so many other options in Boston.

Pros: Great location, easy check-in with all details in advance, kind lady in the lobby, free water/juices, and free washer/dryer. Cons: Room was spacious but dated (carpet in bad shape) and not as clean as expected.

A beautiful and quaint little inn nestled in Back Bay. The rooms felt comfortable, and the folks at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was continental - bagels, cereal, etc - but appreciated. The location was convenient as well - walkable to just about anywhere downtown. I would gladly stay here again!

The Good: very close to metro 3 minutes , close to Logan Express 10 minutes, 25 minutes to Fenway. Front desk was helpful. The Bad: Breakfast was very basic. Room walls too thin. Too much noise from people above. Glass on shower door sharp (room 304). Room was nice size but having a hanging lamp in the middle of the room makes room feel smaller and is borderline stupid! My wife is 5’7 and she banged her head numerous times. I am 6’3 and I almost knocked myself out. See pictures.

A Hidden Gem in Back Bay – Another Fantastic Stay! This was our second time staying at The Inn at St. Botolph, and once again, it exceeded our expectations! The location is absolutely perfect—tucked away in Back Bay but close to transport links, making it easy to explore Boston. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, with luxury toiletries that add a special touch. The views from the hotel are excellent, adding to the charm of the stay. A special mention to Jordan and the rest of the staff, who were incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our visit. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. This boutique hotel is a hidden gem, offering a quiet and cozy retreat in the heart of the city. We can’t wait to return for another stay!
