The Hyatt Place Boston - Seaport District consistently receives positive feedback, praised for its convenient location, spacious rooms, and attentive staff. While some reviews highlight the excellent breakfast and rooftop views, concerns regarding the quality of the breakfast food and limited amenities, like body lotion, have been raised. Overall, guests appreciate the hotel’s value and comfortable stay, particularly for business travelers and those attending events in the area.
This was my second stay at the Hyatt Place Boston/Seaport. I chose to return because of the wonderful experience I had the first time. I am glad to report that the fine sense of service I observed beforehand continues. The hotel is superbly maintaned, with a team that cares. Spotless everywhere you go - the cleaning team has to be recognized for their hard work. The rooms are large, and so very well appointed. The elevators, roomy and fast, never a long wait. The free breakfast is excellent - kudos to the supremely attentive kitchen and cleaning staff. The moment that one of the hot food plates was close to be empty, a discrete back panel opened and a new one appeared. Helpful front desk staff adds to the experience - we were welcomed as Hyatt members and provided the room that better fit our needs. The lobby is one of the best amenities, plenty of space and seating, cute shop and bar. Rooftop terrace, amazing panoramic views. Highly recommended.
I stayed here for my bar exam week. This was by far the best Hyatt I’ve ever stayed at! Staff was extremely friendly which was refreshing given the location. The room was perfect, breakfast was delicious and the gym and lounge area was quiet and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
I recently stayed at the Hyatt in Seaport and overall had a good experience. The staff was great especially Jonathan, who kindly brought me a pen late at night when I needed one. The room was clean, comfortable, and I absolutely loved the heater in the bathroom, every hotel needs that! Breakfast was a bit disappointing. The eggs were flavorless and very watery, the options were limited, and the bagels were tiny. I was also told the hotel had fast Tesla chargers, which was a big reason I chose it since I drive an electric car, but there were no Tesla chargers and the charging available wasn’t fast. Even with those issues, the stay was enjoyable overall and I would stay again but probably not being my electric vehicle.
Very nice experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was good, the elevator ride was smooth and quick. The hotel is situated close to the water as well as bus stops and a few places of interest. I have no complaints whatsoever.
Extremely disappointing stay. The hotel doesn’t meet expectations at all and clearly fails to live up to the level associated with the brand. Breakfast is a major issue. There are constant lines where you have to wait 15–20 minutes, yet the quality and variety of food are baffling. From fruits, you get a single apple per person, along with green, unripe bananas and canned fruit that’ve an unmistakably spoiled taste. The hot dish that resembles scrambled eggs appears to be made from powdered eggs, judging by the taste and texture. The potatoes are just deep-fried, greasy, and bland. The yogurt is the cheapest possible, served with basic cereal. The baked goods are stale rolls and only one type of dry, tough croissant that can hardly be called fresh. The coffee is simply terrible. There’s no aroma or flavor at all—just warm, light brown water. This is easily one of the worst hotel coffees I’ve ever had. The only mildly positive note is the selection of teas, which is probably the best thing this hotel offers. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The only real advantage of this hotel is its very close and convenient location to the airport. However, this comes at a significant downside: the location is extremely inconvenient for sightseeing. Getting to Boston’s main attractions takes roughly the same amount of time whether you walk or use public transportation, which makes exploring the city unnecessarily time-consuming and frustrating. Overall, the hotel feels more like a student dormitory than a hotel from a well-known chain. The interiors are outdated and extremely basic, more in line with a two-star hotel. There’s no sense of comfort—just tasteless minimalism and a clear impression that everything’s being done as cheaply as possible, from the furniture to the service. Considering the price, the value for money’s very poor. I’ve no desire to return and wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
We were prioritizing the ability to get to new-to-us parts of the city on a quick trip that had us arrive by train and depart by plane. This location was perfect with easy access to the Silver Line (thus one stop from airport and two from South Station). Also, got to the ICA and the delicious Lanner Noodles, all within a few blocks of the hotel. Complimentary breakfast made for an easy way to launch into our days, and the food was delicious and plenty of seating all with lovely views of the harbor. Everything is basically new, so its clean, in good working order, and focused on providing a solid basis for your time in town.
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a truly wonderful experience. The property itself is comfortable and welcoming, with amenities that made my stay memorable. I especially enjoyed the well-equipped gym, the lighthouse with its stunning harbor view, and the spacious 12th-floor area that provided plenty of room indoors and outdoors for entertaining and relaxing. What impressed me most, however, was the staff’s dedication to guest care. After checking out, I realized I had accidentally left my camera on a chair in the lighthouse on the 12th floor. I immediately called the front desk, and Eric, the receptionist, went above and beyond to help me. He quickly located my camera and ensured it was safely returned to me. Thanks to his attentiveness and professionalism, I was spared what could have been a very stressful situation. I am deeply grateful to Eric and the hotel team for their outstanding service. This experience gave me complete confidence in the hotel’s commitment to its guests. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking not only for a comfortable stay but also for staff who truly care.
I wish I can give 100 stars. The hotel itself is a normal 3 star hotel but I can definitely tell that it is so well kept. I checked in today and they were so nice and friendly. To the three ladies at the front desk, thank you so so much for being flexible and understanding with my situation. I plan to visit Boston again soon and I will DEFINITELY stay here again. I love love love staying here and rooms are so well kept and clean. Thank you so so much ladies!!!
I spent a weekend in Boston and stayed at the Hyatt Place in the Seaport District. The location was great — close to everything but still quiet. The room was spacious, clean, and really comfortable. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was much better than the usual hotel fare. The fitness space was also well equipped and pleasant. Overall, a great stay! I’d definitely recommend it if you’re visiting Boston, especially around Christmas when the area looks beautiful. The Snowport market was at walking distance of the hotel, which made it all much more enjoyable.
I’ve stayed at this hotel twice. Both times it exceeded my expectations. Rooms are roomy and comfortable. Great ambience. You’re able to refill your water bottles in the lobby, which might seem small but is not an option at most hotels. I loved this environmentally friendly feature. Breakfast was great. Two things my room didn’t have: body lotion and a safe. These missing features did surprise me. Overall a good experience and would stay again.
