Hotel Indigo Boston Garden is a convenient option for visitors to Boston, particularly those attending events at TD Garden. It offers a prime location, friendly service, and a range of amenities like a restaurant and gym. However, some reviews note noise concerns and occasional outdated features.
The location is right across the street from TD Garden, so a great option if visiting for a game. Plenty of food places and bars right near by. The room cost will be up there but if you have several people it is not that costly. The plumbing was the only issue, but everything else was great.
EDIT: I added one star based on exemplary customer service. Don't plan on sleeping in during your stay. The amount of NOISE here is unbelievable. You may be jarred awake by metal clanging on the street below, or at 3am by the beeping and thunder of garbage trucks, or by the cleaning crew banging around in the room next door, or by people yelling. It is clear they did zero sound proofing whenever they converted this old building into a hotel. The layout is odd and the rooms feel stale, like an old studio apartment without a kitchenette. The bathroom is small compared to the room size, and the shower faucet needs an instruction manual — it took 5 minutes to figure out how it works. Yes, location is great and employees are nice. But there are plenty of places to stay downtown for a comparable price that I'm sure offer a better stay. I wouldn't stay here again.
Nice boutique hotel located across Boston Garden/North Station in North End neighborhood. Hotel is bit smaller sized, but rooms are spacious and service top notch. Has gym, onsite restaurant, valet/ paid parking. There is no executive lounge and paid breakfast. No self-laundry. Now the details: Hotel is across Boston Garden/Hub Hall/North Station, small entrance to hotel is on Friend St, about 400 ft from Causeway. Entrance is small and there is no hotel lounge area, once in to the door you will face small check in area, small hallway to elevator, and Blake’s restaurant facing the check in, its small so it can be crowded during check in and out hours. Rooms: We stayed in room 511 faced Causeway was spacious with high ceiling (14’?), upon entry by hallway was decent long drawer (narrow but long), large bathroom to the right. One sink, bath/shower combo with rain shower and sprayer. The room had closet at the end of the room this area also had small functional desk, small cooler for SMALL items (no larger than 4” wide), coffee pod machine. Amenity: GYM is located in basement, very small with 2 treadmills, 1 bike, 1 bench, 1 multi functional cable machine and various dumbbells. Small but functional. Area has water and towels. Ice Machines in each floor. Has two separate elevators but only one was working. Restaurant: Blake’s Kitchen, food was generally decent and priced in normal range. Meatball was supposedly good and rarely available, we did had a chance to get one but not to my liking, too much breading. However, price of local draft was hotel price ($12 for pint). There was only one server/bar tender servicing whole place (about 1 large table of 14, and 6 other tables) but food was served hot, drinks filled regularly, empty plates taken away, impeccable service for staff of one. Location is great. Across from Boston Garden and Hub Hall, lots of restaurants & Bars nearby, about 1 mile walk from Italian neighbor to east, China town to south. Transportation is excellent, across from North station that serves Amtrak, Commuter train to North (anything to south has to go to South Station), and Orange and Green subway lines. Walk ¾ mile to south to State House/Capital where the Freedom trail begins. Walk ¼ mile to East to Charlestown Bridge/Bill Russell Bridge (same with two names) to pick up the Freedom trail.
Every time we visit Boston for a Bruins game, Hotel Indigo is our go-to choice. A big reason for that is Edison (Eddie!) at the front door—he’s an outstanding concierge who greets us with genuine warmth and goes out of his way to be helpful. On this trip, we also had the pleasure of meeting Bianca, who was fantastic behind the bar. Both Eddie and Bianca exemplify the kind of exceptional customer service that’s increasingly rare these days. Hotel Indigo is fortunate to have such talented team members, and they’re the reason we’ll keep coming back. Well done, Hotel Indigo!
Excellent Location and Outstanding Service My family and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, every staff member we encountered was genuinely kind and welcoming. The valet service, front desk team, and restaurant staff all went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable. The location is truly unbeatable - just steps from the causeway entrance to TD Garden, and less than a 10-minute walk to State Street, Quincy Market, and the Wharf area. It's an ideal spot for anyone wanting to explore Boston on foot. Our room came equipped with convenient amenities including a mini fridge and in-room coffee maker, which we appreciated. The on-site bar and restaurant made it easy to grab a meal or drink without leaving the hotel. While some rooms may show their age, ours was clean and well-maintained with a nicely updated bathroom. For the price point, this hotel offers excellent value, especially considering the prime location, thoughtful amenities, and exceptional service. We'd definitely stay here again on our next visit to Boston!
Nice hotel in a great location. Lot of good spots all within walking distance. They were upgrading an elevator while I was there so sometimes it was busy in the other single elevator. The bathroom in my room was by far the best once ive had in a hotel in years. Bed was comfy and the room large. The only downside I had was I could hear everyone else. Guy next door woke me up non stop coughing, people rolling luggage down the hall, and shower going upstairs. Might want some earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

We recently visited Boston for the first time ans stayed at Hotel Indigo. We came to Boston for a Bruins game (TD Gardens acrossthe street), visit local tourist attractions such as Cheers, Boston Common, Chinatown, Seaport Christmas Market and Little Italy. The hotel was a great location for all of these. We also used Uber to check out Harvard University and The Encore Casino which were a $20 Uber ride or less. There is so much alternative food offers within a couple blocks from the hotel. Hotel Indigo and the team are great. If your looking to visit Boston for a game I highly recommend you make Indigo your hotel.
Stayed for one night in December to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Extremely convenient location for events at the garden. Having a smooth valet and check in process was wonderful. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, beds are comfortable and has everything you need. Will definitely book again the next time I’m in town for a game!
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo. We were upgraded to a spacious and very comfortable King Suite, which made the visit even better. Sara provided exceptional service and greeted us by name, which was a lovely personal touch. The hotel is in a great location, and we really enjoyed breakfast each morning. Highly recommend.
