The Wylie Inn & Conference Center consistently receives excellent reviews, particularly praising its friendly and accommodating staff, especially Christine and Winston at the front desk. Guests highlight the hotel’s convenient location, recent renovations, and quiet atmosphere, alongside a beautiful beach area. While some rooms are small, the overall experience is considered comfortable and enjoyable, with many returning for events and travel to the North Shore.
Christine at the front desk at the Wylie Center & Tupper Manor is an absolute gem! She’s so warm, welcoming, and genuinely makes every guest feel taken care of from the moment they arrive. She was incredible during my clients wedding—organized, attentive, and always one step ahead to make sure everything ran smoothly. If you’re thinking about booking, know you’ll be in the best hands with Christine there!
The front desk team was excellent, especially Winston. He made check-in smooth and welcoming, answered all my questions with professionalism , and went out of his way to help! His service really stood out and made the whole stay better. Highly recommend this hotel! Any bad ratings you see are from rookies who experienced user error/weren't prepared. Understandable but doesn't warrant a bad rating.
Wonderful experience. Front desk service was spectacular. Our room was cleaner than any other hotel we've stayed in. It was very quiet and peaceful. They have a pricate beach right behind the manor. Absolutely adorable and welcoming. I look forward to our next stay there.
Loved our stay here and the staff were all so accommodating and kind! I would come back! So random but flushing the toilet was so loud and i wished there was a hot tub and free breakfast! I still though had a great stay. Good place to stay especially during a snow storm!
Loved staying here for the first time! I had a show last night at Off Cabot in Beverly, Ma and stayed over as my drive home is over 1.5 hrs. Christine at the front desk was amazing to work with upon arrival to check out. I asked if I could check in 15 minutes earlier so I could drop off my luggage then go out to eat an early dinner before my event. She was so kind and allowed it which helped me to get some dinner, prepare my clothing, and take a nap in the room before hand. I woke up at 10 the next am and dragged myself downstairs to get coffee in their lounge area which is beautiful! I asked about late check out and she granted it til 12 so I could wake up and check my email etc in my comfy clothes before my road trip home. CONS - I made a mistake booking the standard queen which was very small and only had a steamer no iron or board, however I brought my own mini iron which helped me with my ironing my outfit with some deep wrinkles. Not much floor space for opening up luggage. PROS the room was gorgeous all though small, the bedding superior where I fell into a deep lovely sleep, the bathroom beautiful, and the overall feel of this inn was gorgeous and felt more quaint than a standard hotel. Loved the downstairs couch and bar area. Writing my review on the couch as we speak! Ill be back for my next event at Off Cabot in April! Thank you Christine and Wylie Inn! Biggest PRO 6 to 7 minutes to /from Off Cabot after a late night and drinks with friends after my show!
What a beautiful location with feel country inn but more like a boutique hotel. It seems as though the location was completely remodeled recently. The location is great for a wedding as the grounds and function facility are gorgeous. We loved our room everything was updated, clean, and lovely. My spouse loved the coffee bar with all the fixins (loved the crushed candy cane). The staff is professional as helpful, the chamber maid even gave us a few towels. The have a semi private beach and we enjoyed walking it in January and look forward to another North Shore adventure when the weather is warmer.
I've visited this hotel many times, and in the past left a middling review. This last visit, I discovered they've updated the rooms very nicely, and are back to offering daily housekeeping. The fitness center is also much better than average for a hotel of this size. I'd recommend a stay here for anyone visiting the North Shore.
We had a incredible stay at the Wylie inn, the front desk staff was incredible with making sure what we were comfortable and very helpful to help us find the best areas around to eat. The room was very clean, smelled great and looked newly renovated, the bed was very comfortable too. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here, it was beautiful and in a great location, next time we're in the area we'll definitely be staying with you guys again. Thank you!
I love this hotel. I have stayed here two times so far. It's right on the beach. Quiet. Short and simple drive into Salem and Danvers. Plenty of parking. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. The beds, sheets, and pillows are so comfortable. Every year this will be my go-to for lodging.
Great little place to stay. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There is access to a small beach, a great place to watch the sunset. The room was clean and affordable, we had a queen bed and there was a chair and small counter that we didn't care about, but it was there. There was also enough room for us to put our babies bassinet. The bathroom was large and the shower was great. We didn't use it but there was also a small gym if you were so inclined and I believe a pool, but we didn't look for that.
