The Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston Seaport District receives generally positive reviews, particularly praising spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchens, and friendly service. However, concerns have been raised regarding breakfast quality, parking costs, inconsistent room readiness, and occasional service issues, such as fridge malfunctions and cold pool temperatures. Despite these concerns, many guests appreciate the hotel’s convenient location and overall value.
Excellent rooms. Best hotel I have stayed at room wise. Absolutely no parking unless you walk minutes to get to your vehicle. Valet $62 a day unlimited come and go. If you have a larger vehicle the front circle is brutal when multiple vehicles are coming and going.
Exceptional Service, Spacious Rooms, and My New Go-To Hotel. ?I recently decided to focus on maximizing my Hilton points, so I passed on the Omni just ten minutes away to spend 7 nights at this Homewood Suites. Having stayed at the Omni and Hyatt in Boston several times previously, I can confidently say this property offers a far superior experience—largely due to the significantly larger rooms and the highly practical kitchen layout. ?We did experience a minor mechanical wrinkle during our stay, as our fridge repeatedly tripped the power. However, a hotel’s true quality is revealed in its service recovery, and the staff here were absolutely amazing. I must specifically commend a few outstanding individuals who went well beyond the call of duty: ?Natalie: A wonderfully bubbly and welcoming presence who serves as a superb ambassador for the hotel. ?Jeff (Maintenance): An absolute gentleman and a great guy who handled our room issue with total professionalism. ?Yanisa (Assistant Manager): Seamlessly sorted out my invoice and ensured we received very generous and appreciated compensation for the fridge disruption. ?Overall, despite that one small hiccup, I loved this place. It is undeniably going to be my regular go-to hotel in the area. ?As a bonus for maintaining travel wellness, I actually appreciated the lack of a full-service, heavy-liquor bar on-site—it is a fantastic way to give the liver a welcome rest! The convenience shop still sells a nice selection of wine and beer, and the brewery across the street sticks to the same lighter options, which perfectly suited my rhythm for this trip. ?My only piece of constructive feedback is directed at Hilton corporate regarding the breakfast: please ditch the terrible, highly processed powdered scrambled eggs. For those of us trying to maintain a clean nutritional baseline on the road, we want real, whole eggs, quality bacon, and clean, healthy meats. Let's Make America Healthy Again!
As someone who travels frequently for work, I found my recent stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston Seaport to be generally pleasant, but with a few service issues that ultimately kept it from being a great experience. The room itself was one of the highlights of the stay — very spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed compared to many business travel hotels in this price range. I appreciated having room to actually unwind and work comfortably after long days. The self-service market and bar options were also convenient and a nice touch, especially for a busy work schedule. That said, the breakfast offerings were underwhelming and felt below the standard I would expect for the room rate and overall positioning of the property. What really shifted my impression from “great” to simply “good,” though, was the checkout experience. I wasn’t greeted warmly or asked how my stay was. When I casually mentioned that the bathroom outlet had stopped working during my stay, the response made me feel as though it was somehow my fault for not reporting it earlier. While I understand maintenance issues happen, I was on a packed business schedule and did not have the time or desire to coordinate a repair during my stay. For the rates charged in the Seaport area, service and hospitality matter just as much as the physical product. While the hotel itself has a lot going for it, there are several nearby options that deliver a more polished and guest-focused service experience overall. Would likely not stay again.
Please ensure you pass our thanks to Carl who works in concierge, Cecilia our room house keeper. and your kitchen porter staff at breakfast. They are all a credit to you. However please give Natalie, one of your front of house staff some training in manners and how to treat hotel guests. I have never met such a rude individual. She opened up the room where our luggage was stored, never checked the tickets to ensure we had the correct luggage and was so rude to us it was embarrassing. You also need to ensure extra taxes that you pay on top of the listed price on your website are made very clear. This is really misleading and very irritating when you get your final bill to see at least £300 has been added for taxes. It is illegal to do this in the UK. Why on earth in 2026 are Hilton serving breakfast using plastic cutlery and compostable plates, bowls and coffee cups with plastic lids? What happened to caring for the planet and sustainability? You had ample bins to segregate waste, yet you made guests throw everything in to one bin which means NOTHING gets recycled or re-used. We were absolutely disgusted and saddened by this. You should be setting an example not contributing to ruining the planet we live on. We tried the porridge that was on offer at breakfast and quite honestly it was like eating prison food. It was obviously made with water and no milk. I mean come on at least make it appetising seeing as we had to eat it out of a cardboard bowl! There is no kettle in the room only a stupid coffee machine. Bit annoying if you don't drink coffee. We have used Hilton for stays all over the world in the past and we have never seen such scrimping and scraping as this. I think you also need to make it clearer on your website that this hotel is on the very edge of Seaport and those who cannot walk far will need to use an Uber to get to places. We walked everywhere but a lot of people can't. Also when you mention water views, you really should mention that it is actually a docking port that you are looking out onto. We were overall very disappointed with our stay and wouldn't stay here again.
We found this hotel to be very nicely equipped and felt exceptionally safe for our family. The views were phenomenal all the way around when booking a water view suite on a high floor. Breakfast was minimal, but that's become the standard. While you are a couple blocks away from the real action, everything is still walkable when venturing to restaurants and the ICA. It feels safe and quiet as the perk for being on the outskirts of the majorly developed areas. We would stay again and it was extended stay perks with upgraded finishes. We used digital key for easy access and the hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to the water view at no charge as a diamond member. We paid an additional $6 to secure a corner room that had a better view. Pro Tip: Park at mariner garage down the street to save $ on overnight valet if you are on a budget. Available on SpotHero
We have come to this hotel 3 times in last 2 years and absolutely loved! However, this time we had an awful experience that pretty much guarantees we wont be back. I caught the stomach flu on our last morning and I did end up throwing up in the bathroom in our room. I certainly did not want that to happen. But as we checked out we told them and they said thanks for letting me know at the desk. But then we saw a $250 charge on our account. Come to find out the charged us a $250 cleaning fee but never said a word when we checked out. It took our affordable stay and turned it into something costly for our family. So I suggest you look for hotels elsewhere. I know we will
I’m a hotel snob. Homewood suites exceeded my expectations. We booked two rooms, they were both clean and smelled nice, beds are comfortable and rooms are spacious. My girls had a great time. Staff was professional and helpful, complimentary breakfast was the cherry on top. Would book again.
I came here mainly to write a review about how disappointing the hotel's pool is. The picture on their website is deceptive. In reality, the pool is bizarrely small, and even in mid-November, the water was barely warm. For a family with young kids, that's a serious deal-breaker. We were so disappointed after going once that we never again went to the pool during our three-day stay. You would think that two conjoined hotels with a thousand rooms would have a spacious enough pool to accommodate a few dozen people, but this pool can actually only accommodate a few people at most. There were six people in the pool when we were there, and it felt crowded. Aside from the pool, the hotel's other services are above average. The staff at the reception desk are friendly and helpful (it's important to note that they are diverse). The reception area’s beverages shop also has a fair selection of beer and wine that are economically priced. The complimentary breakfast is amazing, and the seating area is spacious and clean. Unlike at many other Hilton properties, self-check-in actually works here through the app, which made for a pleasant experience. There aren’t many restaurants around, but it's nice to have Doordash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats deliver food.
I'm very unsatisfied with our stay at this hotel. I used the Hilton app after being prompted to via email and even chose to "upgrade," if available. During the check in process in the app, it asked when I would be arriving and I chose 3pm. It would only allow me to choose Room #943, so that's what I did. However, it would not let me have access to the digital key in the app and that I'd still need to check in at the front desk. I was completely fine with that, but I did find it odd. When my wife and I arrived, which was actually closer to 3:45pm, we were told that the room was not ready. We were asked to sit in the lobby while they finished up cleaning the room. I did let the front desk agent know that we had a dinner reservation and a theater show to get to by 5:30pm, but we didn't end up getting into our room until about 4:30pm. This really stressed my wife out because it didn't give us much time to get ready and make it to our reservation. On top of that, I kept stepping on these "sticky" spots on the carpet everywhere once in the room. I think I cleaned up about 5 or 6 of them using the dish soap and paper towels, which appeared to be smashed blueberries. After our stay, I got a bill for the "upgrade" charge for the room. I feel this is completely unacceptable. I should have been offered a different room when ours wasn't ready when we arrived, especially when I checked in ahead of time on the Hilton app. I should have been reimbursed for the upgrade charge, at minimum, but think there should be even more for the inconvenience and for having to clean the room... especially since part of the time we had to wait was for someone to "check" the room over.
I just stayed at the Hilton seaport. And it was amazing. Service is always welcoming the valet was really friendly. And the Manager Yanisa was amazing she was friendly and she solved issues so quickly. Amazing service from front desk. The pool was nice and warm. The shower outside the pool is a nice add on. The selection of drinks was good, the snacks and softs were good too.
