The Cambria Hotel Boston Downtown offers a convenient location near the Red Line subway and Amtrak station, providing easy access to the city and surrounding areas. Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful staff, particularly Sunny, and appreciate the hotel’s modern design and spacious rooms, although some rooms have minor inconveniences like limited lighting or a lack of microwaves. Value is generally considered good given the location and amenities.

Location is by the train station Allewife takes you to south station and then you can get on other trains there. We did that to take the purple train home to Worcester. Lots of food options at the train station. Rooms were clean and spacious. No microwave though. We had to go downstairs to microwave. Staff were pleasant.

It is a great place to stay. The hotel is modern, clean, and well designed, with spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. The location is convenient, making it easy to get around the city and access public transportation. Staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the stay, which made check-in and check-out smooth. The amenities and overall atmosphere feel upscale yet relaxed. I had a pleasant and comfortable experience and would definitely consider staying here again when visiting Boston.

This hotel was a great choice for us. We had two rooms, one was a suite and one was a normal city view room. The only downside from that standpoint was that the suites do not have as good of a view of the trains (important to me) as the normal king bed rooms have. That aside, the room was very clean. Housekeeping came a couple of times during our visit and made the room up nicely. The only comment about the room that I would liked to have seen better is the lighting. The suite had weird lighting. The majority of the lighting came from floor lamps. There was only one (dim) builtin light in the hallway next to the bathroom. The switch on the wall next to the door wasn't working properly. It was just a bit strange. The floor lamps also had lightbulbs that were bright white and very sterile. I wouldve preferred a warm lighting to go with the lamps. The light above the door appeared to be broken or removed. The location was great if you plan to ride the T. Its a 4 min lyft ride to South Station and a 3-4 min walk to the Broadway Red Line station which is a big plus. There are a couple of restaurants and cafes nearby, which we went to a few times. Next time we come to Boston, I will definitely consider staying here again. It was a great stay and the staff was great. I would suggest the hotel look into better lighting solutions for the suites, but that would not stop me from coming back!

Had a really nice stay at the Cambria. It’s a bit farther from the downtown area, but the prices are much more reasonable than many other Boston hotels, and getting around was still easy thanks to the hotel being right next to the Red Line subway station. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet — perfect after long days out. There isn’t a restaurant located directly in the hotel, which is a small downside, but it honestly wasn’t an issue thanks to how helpful the staff was with nearby food and dining recommendations. What stood out most was the front desk staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, even during what looked like very busy moments. Good customer service — especially under pressure — can be hard to come by and was truly appreciated. One of the associates, Sunny, went above and beyond by offering specific local dining recommendations and was even kind enough to personally bring extra towels directly to my room one evening. That level of thoughtfulness really made the stay feel warm and easy. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Helpful courteous staff. Breakfast was included in our rate. It had broad healthy options which is what I look for. Room was kept hot and couldn’t get it cooled with thermostat so opened the window a bit.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! This hotel is really stylish, clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I'd like to give a special shout out to Sunny who went above and beyond when we ran in to a bit of a booking snafu. He resolved it with patience and genuine care. I'd definitely stay here again for my next Boston visit!

Although the accommodation was located a bit away from the downtown area, it was very convenient for getting around since the subway and bus stops were right in front. It was very close to the Amtrak station, making it easy to travel to other cities. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was quite simple compared to the facilities, so I hope it can be improved even if it requires an additional fee.

Room had a strong mold smell. The temperature in the room was hard to get comfortable. Carpet was stained. Bathroom was a dirty. Checked beg - no bugs thank goodness although I would suggest they get zippered bed bug protectors. Hotel breakfast is very basic, coffee, yogurt, hard boiled eggs. Next to a red line station which was helpful.

The room itself was decent but that was only after they upgraded us to a higher floor after almost giving us a dirty room. It was an average sized room and was fine for two people. I cannot comment on the staff because there WASNT any to interact with. The front desk is all we ever saw. We called down for some extra blankets at one point to which the front desk informed me there was no one on staff and I would have to wait 1-2 hours to recieve them. I had to walk down/up 13 flights of stairs to get my blankets myself in my pajamas because the elevator was shaking and making a very concerning noise that night, which we discovered during our final ascent that same day. Further more, the resturant is fraudulently presented, bordering on false advertisement. There is NO rooftop bar, NO dinner option, and NO lunch option. There is only breakfast served 2 hours each day. (7-9am) There are no snacks/drinks available other than the ones from the WAY over priced ones in the tiny closet like "shop" by front desk. You would be better off getting them from the Circle K around the corner. The sink does not drain properly, the AC is VERY loud at night, and the sheer curtains fail to block any of the sun making it appear as though someone threw a flashbang into the window each morning. The minifrifge is so small that we had to crush our food boxes to make it fit and the drinks had to lay down or be put in sideways. Finally, the internet/wifi access in the building is absurd. It is VERY hard to connect to and is not quality once you do. Overall this hotel was a bad experience. The only redeeming quality being the view and the convenient location.

Well where do I start… I booked this hotel last minute because I needed to rest from driving.. I booked thru a third party and it was pretty cheap. When arriving at the hotel keep in mind there is NO PARKING. The valet is pricey $65. When checking in I was Greeted by a rude and dismissive front desk attendant named GUI I believe. When asked about a parking garage he said I can Just simply cancel my reservation thru the third party. Then he proceeded to say ok we’ll just pay the $300 security deposit then go find parking. I just Gave up and paid the valet fee. Also their security deposit is more than the actual room cost. When I got up to my room there was a strong musty smell. The rooms are extremely small and there’s a weird hvac system in it ? I was So confused… I had to come back down to the front desk for something and that’s when I heard The man from the front desk telling another co worker that I came In complaining about the parking and the $300 security deposit.. he didn’t even see me standing there because his back was turnt. After that I felt Very uncomfortable and unwelcome . It was so embarrassing I just went back up and went to sleep. Checked out at 8am. I will NEVER book at this location again.
