The Canopy by Hilton Boston Downtown consistently receives positive reviews, praising its excellent location in the heart of downtown Boston, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. Guests appreciate the hotel’s proximity to major attractions and restaurants, and often highlight the helpfulness of the team. While some minor issues, such as noise from nearby businesses and occasional billing discrepancies, have been noted, the overall experience is considered positive.
Trevon was the highlight of our stay! We were only there for one quick night but everything was fantastic. The rooms were really tasteful, I loved the high ceilings, which gave them an even bigger feeling. Lobby was a nice area to be able to hang out in for a little bit after we checked out and just needed some downtime activities. Trevon was super friendly and helpful when we checked in and throughout our stay. Great location in the heart of downtown, I would easily stay here again.
It was a pleasure to stay at the Canopy Hotel. It is sleek yet comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed our room with a nice view of the Rose Garden. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the hotel staff was warm and welcoming. We would highly recommend the Canopy Hotel.
I did a lot of research before choosing the Canopy by Hilton for our stay in Boston, and we were thrilled with our choice. The location of this hotel was perfect for us. Just outside the North End and all of it's wonderful restaurants, right next door to Quincy Market and Boston Public Market, and within walking distance of everything that we wanted to see. Even the farmers market was next door for Friday and Saturday. We walked everywhere, even as far as Harvard campus. The only Uber we took was to and from the airport and once for a visit to Fenway for a Red Sox game. We took the train back from the game, which was also very convenient. The staff at the hotel were fantastic, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. When we arrived, our bathroom sink was slow to drain so we let the front desk know on our way out to dinner. By the time we got back, it the sink was working perfectly. Every staff member we interacted with, including the maids and the bar staff, were friendly and helpful. The only issue we had with the hotel, and it was a minor inconvenience, was the loud thumping music of the F45 Training gym that is located in the same building. We were on the second floor of the hotel, probably right above the gym, so the noise was pretty annoying, but it wasn't bad enough to warrant moving. Next time we stay, we will ask for a room away from the gym, or on a higher floor. This is an urban area with plenty of sirens and honking horns, but we got a good nights sleep every night and appreciated being in close proximity to so many of the attractions we wanted to visit.
Excellent hotel! We are loyal to Hilton and are very glad we chose this hotel. Front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. Hotel bar had great drinks. Vey convenient location!
Fabulous hotel, I would deffo return! Room was beautiful, best shower ever! We took valet parking as we were driving round New England and this was our last stop before flying home. Staff were brilliant in helping with our mountain of luggage. The vibe in Rosie’s bar at night is great, we came as a couple but I would have no hesitation to stay here as a solo traveller. Great hotel.
Great location and a fine hotel. I only rate 4 stars due to 2 minor issues: the in-room coffee is a Nespresso set-up that fails to offer that most essential element - a good cup of coffee to drink while not yet awake, and the electronic key {necessary to access the room, hallway, elevator, and fitness center} was unreliable and required us to get a key card from the front desk {this latter issue is not unique to this hotel, we’ve experienced similar issues at other Hilton properties}. The room was comfortable and the restaurant was fine for breakfast. The location is perfect for a Boston adventure. We will make this our go-to option for future overnights in Boston.
CAUTION: If you are coming from the airport, the gps will take you under the tunnel where the hotel is above and say you're there. Its very important to not go under the tunnel as the hotel is above it. If you do, you're going to go throught a series of confusing twists and turns because the Boston roads do not have any rhyme or rhythm and the traffic is wild. The hotel itself is very nice. The room was great and we loved the bathroom. Very friendly staff with great recommendations. The restaurant was subpar. The food was decent but the waitress forgot nearly everything we said because she didn't write anything down and had to keep coming back. I would stay at this hotel again. Knowing what I know now, I would 100% take an Uber from the aiport and skip the rental car. Eveything is walkable from this hotel.
We stayed at Canopy for 1-3/4 days because our flight to Dublin didn't leave until 9:20pm. First off, the gentleman that helped us check in was super nice and welcoming, probably one of the highlights of the entire trip. I commend Hilton on that hire fore sure, and damn it, I cannot remember his name..... I'm so sorry sir, my memory sucks! Upon arrival in Boston, we knew it was close, but damn, it was really close to the airport. I think you could literally throw a rock and barely miss the closest terminal. It was literally 11 minutes pickup to drop off. It helped that our Uber driver knew the city, because he performed some questionable left turns to get us there that fast. Upon entry into the room, we were surprised that the photos we saw saw were not just doctored up for Hilton's typical glamour party hotel shoot. It was actually a very nice cozy hotel room. We had a great view of the East end of the city and a bit of the airport in the distance. It has just snowed that day and as kids from Arizona, we loved the change. We didn't unpack much as we would leave the next night, late. The room was a very good size, and the bathroom was spacious. The shower and sinks were spotless. The room overall was quiet, even with a moderately busy few streets just outside. Watch my video to see how just how busy it was. At night the traffic died way down. We ate at the Oyster House, which was right behind the hotel (2 min walk) and one of the reasons I chose this location. Save yourself the trip there. It was all hype! One of the most expensive 1 star meals I will ever pay for! We ate at the Rose Kitchen at the hotel, and had a much better experience there. The hotel is super close to the start of the freedom trail, Sam Adams brewery, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market and much, much, much, much more! I kid you not, it was a sightseer's dream location! Starbucks was literally a 2 minute walk from Canopy. Mother Juice (highly recommend) is 1 minutes walk from Canopy. Gordon Ramsay burger is connected to the hotel building. Tons and tons of options, besides the Oyster House.? We definitely would stay here again, but next time, we want to make it an extended visit. I make silent travel videos and review hotels and their amenities. Like, follow and share on Y0uTube. Search: Inexperienced traveler. See you there. Thank you!
New hotel with modern design and spacious clean rooms. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Great central location. I would definitely stay here again. Just make sure you ask for your detailed final bill to check that all credits have been applied against the final amount.
Phenomenal hotel just outside the North End, & close to Faneuil Hall. Super comfortable, well furnished/decorated rooms - EXCEPTIONAL front desk staff!!! The hotel has wonderful amenities - including a free Freedom trail tour on Saturday, and tickets to View Boston (formerly top of the hub, at Prudential). The free tickets to View are a must use, especially if you can catch it at sunset - a wonderful way to view the city! There’s a $35 destination fee, but it covers the tickets, bikes, $15 food/drink voucher/credit for 2, & $15 dry cleaning credit Beds are like clouds. Quiet despite its central location. Cannot wait to stay here again!
