We go into the city every few months for a weekend, this was our first time at the Godfrey Hotel. Stay at a four star or above so that we have helped with the luggage going in his. I am on oxygen and typically we have a machine with us as well as a couple of small tanks and our dog. They had absolutely no bell hot for me upon arrival and I had to do everything myself. We’re leaving we had called for bellhop waited at 25 minutes. Call back down and We told that one had not been ordered. They sent one right up. I confronted the gentleman in the front desk who said you called twice it’s in the logbook and gave me some attitude which I did not. The room was a good size with a whole lot of wasted space. It’s nice to have a chair other than the desk to sit. We won’t be back.

Fabulous! The hotel is beautiful. The location is great, easy T access. The hotel staff is A+. Very clean, rooms are spacious. The bar is nice and the drinks were great! We had some sushi style apps and they were fantastic. If staying for more than a night or two, I could see how the lack of a refrigerator may be somewhat inconvenient. I loved it here!

This hotel is outstanding, we stayed for 5 nights in February and loved every minute of it. The staff are brilliant from the doors being open for you, the friendly faces on reception to our lovely chambermaid they can't do enough for you. We checked in and were given an upgraded room which made our stay so special. The room was really clean. The shower was amazing and the bed so cosy. The best bed we ve ever had in a hotel. The room has everything you need, the coffee machine and added snacks were a real bonus. The hotel has a great coffee shop attached and a lovely bar area too. On return in an afternoon they offered free hot chocolate at reception to warm up and free sweets some nights for bedtime. Cannot fault this hotel at all and would return if we were in Boston again. Its in a brilliant location, can literally start every day out here no matter which way you're going. It's truly outstanding and would recommend. Do not miss this hotel!!

We loved our stay at the Godfrey Hotel! The location is perfect, within a reasonable walking distance of so many must-see spots in Boston including the Boston Common, Quincy Market, Boston Public Market, etc. The hotel is clean. The fitness center is well appointed and open 24 hours. They are dog friendly (and out pup enjoyed his stay, too)!

Our stay at The Godfrey Hotel Boston was the perfect way to end our trip home. We stayed at four different hotels during our travels, and The Godfrey was our final stop before heading back. From the moment we walked through the doors, everything felt effortless. Check-in was seamless, and the welcome was genuinely warm—especially for our kids, who were greeted with complimentary snacks and hot cocoa. It immediately set the tone. The rooms were pristine, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was truly top-notch. That evening, my husband and I stopped by the bar for a cocktail before heading out with the kids, where Tyrelle was bartending. He went above and beyond—offering sleds from the hotel so our kids could go sledding at the Commons and sharing great dinner recommendations. Those thoughtful touches made us feel like more than just guests. That night also happened to be our daughter’s 10th birthday, and the hotel surprised her with cake and balloons delivered to the room. It was completely unexpected and incredibly meaningful. My husband and I both work in the service industry, and we know firsthand that it’s the small, intentional moments that create unforgettable experiences. The Godfrey staff absolutely delivered. Our stay at The Godfrey Hotel Boston was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, this was hands down one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The manager’s customer service was truly unmatched. He went above and beyond anything we could have expected. Knowing that my sister had recently graduated as a Registered Nurse, he personally took the time to decorate our room to celebrate her accomplishment. Walking into a beautifully decorated room was such a thoughtful and emotional surprise — it meant more to us than words can describe. On top of that, he generously sent a bottle of champagne, which made the celebration even more special. This level of care, attention, and genuine kindness is rare. This is what top-notch hospitality looks like. You can tell that the staff truly cares about their guests and takes pride in creating memorable experiences. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and the location is perfect. Everything is within walking distance — shopping, restaurants, and so many Boston attractions. We barely needed transportation because everything we wanted to do was just steps away. The restaurant next door was also fantastic — delicious food and a great atmosphere, making it incredibly convenient after a long day of exploring the city. I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation and will be recommending The Godfrey Hotel Boston to everyone I know. If you’re looking for a hotel that delivers warmth, exceptional service and goes above and beyond this is the hotel for you.

We stayed here during Thanksgiving and had a great experience overall. The location is excellent. It is very convenient to the subway, Chinatown for dining, and the Duck Tours, all within easy walking distance. Although the room was not very large, it was well equipped and thoughtfully laid out, which made our stay comfortable. What really stood out was the service. Every time we entered or left the hotel, there was always one or two doormen warmly opening the door for us. In the cold Boston winter, this thoughtful gesture made us feel truly welcomed. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again.

Upon arrival, I was impressed with the spaciousness of my room. It was well-designed, though I did find myself wishing for an extra chair for comfort. The bathroom was equally spacious and clean, adding to the overall luxurious feel of the stay. One highlight was the complimentary tea and coffee service, which made for a cozy start to my mornings. While the gym is small, it is efficient and well-equipped for a quick workout. The staff at The Godfrey Hotel deserves a special mention,they were consistently friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall warm atmosphere of the hotel. I appreciated the flexibility of late check-out, which was a major plus for my afternoon flight. The building itself is modern, and the contemporary design carries through to the rooms, creating a stylish environment. Adding to the convenience, there’s a delightful coffee shop next door, Brew Coffee, which serves some of the best coffee in Boston.
