The Boxer offers a convenient location near TD Garden and other Boston attractions, appreciated by guests for its proximity to events and transportation. Staff, particularly those like Ricky and Carmen, are consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, creating a positive overall experience. However, rooms can be small and some guests have experienced issues with amenities and fees.
eurostar was the best hotel experience we could have asked for while staying in town for a show at TD. location was only a 5 minute walk from the venue and the rooms were comfortable. what really sealed the experience though was Matthew at the front desk. not only did he take care of anything we needed during our stay but he was such a sweet person to talk to. his energy towards guests was unmatched by places i’ve stayed at in the past and made for a great experience. would definitely recommend to a friend especially if Matthew is working!
The first thing that made us want to stay at this hotel was the location! It’s super convenient with parking garages near by, and minutes away from td garden. The front desk person Mathew was amazing and was so kind to bring my order to my room for me! Amazing make up wipes and view. I highly recommend staying here.
We just stayed at The Boxer for the Boston Marathon. First, Danielle McInnis is wonderful and amazingly helpful. I can’t say enough great things about her- we were there 5 nights and she really made our stay excellent. The rooms are okay. They have been recently painted and are clean, but there are no drawers and the bed was really soft. I know others have complained that they are small, but I didn’t think that they were small for that price in a big city. The staff was great. This is a small hotel so you get to see the same people and overall the team was welcoming and lovely. The hotel is very close to the TD Center so it can get pretty loud after an event. I was worried after reading a bunch of bad reviews that our stay was going to be awful, but it ended up being great. I’d stay here again.
My stay at Eurostars The Boxer was truly amazing. Carmen was absolutely outstanding. The attention, care, and kindness she showed my family and me meant so much. She made us feel welcomed, supported, and well taken care of from the very beginning. She even blessed me with a birthday gift, which touched my heart and made the experience feel even more special. Her level of service was exceptional, and if I could upgrade her position myself, she would be more than deserving of becoming a front desk supervisor. Bernard was also amazing. He was polite, professional, and made sure that after Carmen went home, our evening remained safe, smooth, and well-managed. He made sure we had everything we needed, and that level of care did not go unnoticed. Both Carmen and Bernard helped make our stay peaceful, special, and memorable. I’m truly grateful for the way they served my family with excellence.
We spent 3 nights at Eurostars The Boxer in Boston and overall had a very pleasant stay. The room was lovely, clean, and more than comfortable for our visit. The hotel itself is nice and well maintained. It’s located about a 20-minute walk from downtown, which was fine for us, but something to keep in mind if you prefer to be right in the center. The staff really made the difference. Carlos and Patricia were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast lady (I believe her name was Lillian) was also very kind and attentive. The cleaning staff were equally warm and friendly, we truly appreciated their kindness throughout our stay. Breakfast was good but a bit limited, especially for us as Europeans, we’re not very used to salty breakfasts, and there weren’t many sweet options available. A couple of small points to improve: the coffee in the room was not restocked every day, and there is a $20 per day (plus taxes) facility fee. We found this a bit confusing, as the hotel is not a resort, and we weren’t completely sure what this fee covered. It would be helpful if this were explained more clearly. That said, we had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend the hotel for its cleanliness, comfort, and especially its wonderful staff
Stayed 3 nights in January and the rooms were interesting, well designed and functional but not luxurious. More a contemporary feel. Good heating and beds and showers. Nothing to complain wrt the service. Maybe nitpicking but location was exposed to the winter cold and snow - a short walk from north Station.
Everyone was so kind and friendly! The front desk was helpful with everything we didn’t know we’d need such as a sewing kit to help with a small clothing issue. We had no problems from start to finish and would highly recommend this hotel to our friends. A wonderful atmosphere and the front desk staff went above and beyond to help us.
The attitude of everyone there was so unpleasant (minus Danielle I believe). The quality of the rooms are terrible. It says it was renovated. The description of the hotel isn’t anywhere near what it is. The hallways are dark and dim. Nobody says hello, thank you, holds doors etc. it was honestly probably one of the worst stays I’ve had. Not to mention there is no parking. I hate to even write a review this negative but I don’t want people to get tricked into thinking this is a nice place, because it’s not.
Just stayed here for our all too short trip to Boston. We had a blast. It's a great location, 5 minute walk to TD Garden, and just a little longer to all the other things we wanted to see. Carlos at the front desk was awesome, super friendly, funny and very helpful with suggestions on places to eat and what to see. It was slightly pricey, but everything in Boston is, and it was different and had more personality that a regular run of the mill hotel. We definitely hope to go back and stay again!!
Eurostars The Boxer has a great location in Boston’s West End, set in a distinctive flatiron-style building. It’s just a short walk to TD Garden and the food market there (which has plenty of places to eat and drink), and North Station is right nearby for subway and commuter rail connections. Price-wise, this is one of the more reasonable hotel options in central Boston, which is no small feat. The staff are friendly, and the overall feel is relaxed and low-pressure. From the other reviews it seems like some rooms can be on the small side. As a result go for the junior suite, which is the largest room type, and it has enough space, a separate sitting area, decent closet storage, and an OK-sized bathroom with a shower. The bed is comfortable. That said, the décor and carpets are definitely tired and could do with a refresh. There aren’t many amenities here. There’s breakfast available in the mornings, but no bar, no real lounge, and no café space beyond a small lobby. There are bikes out front, which is useful if you like exploring on wheels. If you’re looking for value and location, this is a solid choice. Don’t expect luxury touches, think of it more as a comfortable base for getting out and exploring the city.
