Amazing room - clean, separate rooms for living, bar, sleeping. Bathroom was a bit small but we didn't care bc everything else was 5-star. Doormen greeted you as you came and went, and desk staff were more than accommodating when we asked if we could switch rooms half way into our stay for a better view. One day we walked right out the front door and all the way down Comm Ave to Commons - stunning views and so peaceful. I can't recommend enough - I'm not sure I'll stay anywhere else when I come, which is usually annually.

We spent two nights at The Eliot Hotel and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The room was a corner suite - while it was what some might consider tight quarters was elegant and cozy for us. While the location, accommodations and room were great, it was the staff that truly made our visit memorable - Tarvis, Mohammed and Ian in particular went out of their way to make us feel welcome and they are the reason we will come back to The Eliot Hotel in the future!

I've stayed at the Eliot 4 times over the past 20 years. It's in a great location, the rooms are tastefully furnished, and the front desk and lobby staff are first class. However, truth to be told, this hotel has got tired over the years. Beds & pillows have not kept up with the times (not nearly as comfortable as those I had at an airport Crowne Plaza just a few days earlier). The tiny shower in a tiny bathroom has no fan and steams up in seconds. Beautifully decorated room but none of the nice functional touches that so many hotel rooms have now. At $300-350/night, it would have been fine. But I paid $600 and expected much more. Actually, "hotel" is a bit of a misnomer. It's more like a lovely, old apartment building. There is no lobby to speak of - at least none where you would feel comfortable sitting and chatting over a coffee. The only dining facility is a Japanese restaurant where it would feel odd having the "continental breakfast" on offer (I passed because it looked so uninviting). And the only men's rest room is a dank little room in the basement with a single stall and 2 urinals. Again, it just feels a little tired and old. In fairness, this is a charming, old "boutique" - not a full-service hotel. But I feel they could have done more over the years to keep up with the times. Regardless, I must repeat: the staff are very nice.

We came down for a two night stay to attend a the Midnight show at the House of Blues. The accommodations were a a bit tight in space but clean, secluded and relaxing. Beds are comfortable and the windows actual open. The location was fantastic and convenient to everything. However the best part of staying at the Eliot by far, was the staff. They went way out of their way to be helpful. They were pros and are hopefully being well compensated for their dedication to making our stay so personal, warm and on point. From the doorman to the turn down service, the staff is what makes, or breaks, a luxury hotel, and the Eliot is blessed with a phenomenal staff. Special thanks to: Tarvis, Mohammed and Ian. They made the extra effort. We appreciate them. Much thanks. We will be back!

Eliot Hotel was amazing. When I arrived I accidentally parked in the wrong spot for valet. The doorman was kind enough to still walk to my car to drive my car to the lot, although he did not have to. The room itself was decorated to celebrate my Fiancés birthday as a surprise. It made her cry. Great location that allowed us to stay in the area. A legitimate 10/10

We had an excellent stay. The service was outstanding, the rooms and common areas were extremely clean, and everything was very well maintained. All the staff were incredibly helpful, polite, and friendly, always willing to assist with a smile. They truly made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend ELIOT and would be happy to stay here again.

A prime location around the corner from Newberry Street and easy Access by car. This hotel also has extremely helpful staff with a courteous and professional mentality. From the time you get out of your car and every step of the way, everyone is friendly and asking how they can help. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel enthusiastically to anyone wishing to get away for a week or a weekend and explore Boston in the surrounding area.

We recently stayed at the Eliot Hotel, room 603. Excellent location, intimate boutique hotel with friendly staff. Our 2 rooms consisted of a separate spacious sitting area complete with a tv and a bedroom with a king-size bed. The amenities were: quality linens, cotton waffle robes, superior towels, daily delivery of bottled spring water and gracious housekeeping. The doorman Jean was a delight. And although the rug had numerous spots and the room needed a fresh coat of paint, we would positively stay here again. I understand renovations are scheduled for the near future.

5 star experience across the board. Gorgeous room - huge and luxurious - in a central location in Back Bay, perfect for getting to a conference at Hynes Convention Center without being directly in the middle of it. I requested a quiet room (as I'm a light sleeper and pregnant and desperate for sleep!) and they put me in a lovely corner spot tucked away from any street noise. It was quiet and peaceful and well-insulated; couldn't hear neighboring guests as all. My favorite hotel experience in a long time!
