The Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street in Boston offers a luxurious and modern experience with stunning city views and a prime location in Back Bay. Guests consistently praise the exceptional service, upscale amenities like a spa and pool, and the convenience of nearby attractions. While generally positive, some reviews cite occasional service inconsistencies and higher-than-expected pricing for certain services.
I had an extraordinary stay at the Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston because it represents the pinnacle of modern luxury in the historic Back Bay. Being located in the city's third-tallest building, I was immediately struck by the sleek glass architecture and the floor-to-ceiling windows that provide breathtaking panoramic views of the Charles River and the Boston skyline. The interior design is masterfully done, blending contemporary art with a sophisticated and warm atmosphere that makes the grand spaces feel remarkably intimate. I particularly enjoyed the wellness floor, which features a stunning curved indoor lap pool and a world-class spa that offers a perfect sanctuary from the bustling city below. Dining at the hotel is equally impressive, especially with the inclusion of the world-renowned Japanese restaurant Zuma, which brings a vibrant energy and exceptional cuisine to the property. Every interaction with the staff was characterized by the intuitive and personalized service that the brand is known for, making me feel completely taken care of throughout my visit. It is a spectacular destination for anyone looking for a cutting-edge luxury experience that feels both fresh and timeless in the heart of Boston.
Great hotel. We had 2 adjoining rooms , with one a corner suite. Fantastic views, gym, rooms and service was also good, especially the guys out the front. Probably the best gym on our 5 week trip which also included 5 four seasons hotels. The hotel had 2 restaurants downstairs , a Japanese and a more traditional restaurant, both good , but pricey without being great. The location was also good with plenty to see nearby. Highly recommended
I am on Day 4 of a 5 night stay, leaving tomorrow. I came to Boston for the Museum of Fine Arts and other amazing museums, along with the location in Back Bay near the Amtrak station. So, the location of Four Seasons One Dalton Street is really fantastic, and the building is very nice and relatively new. There is nice art throughout the building, although not at any stunning level, unlike some other Four Seasons and other top-tier hotels. For me, the service has been substandard for reasons that I cannot explain, including missing items in the Spa lounge and dysfunctional coffee machine there, along with items not working in the hotel room (like the bathtub drain, which took two attempts for them to fix). Simple requests like trying to have some cold breakfast items delivered to my room at 1 PM, somewhat later than typical, somehow were not understood, nor acted upon, and then, after discussion with assistant manager, Joshua, this was still not done the next day (today) at the time agreed upon (1 PM). Simple things like laundry are outrageously over-priced, such as $13 to wash one piece of underwear, whereas the cost to do this at Four Seasons Atlanta last week was $4. I get that Boston is more expensive, but not >300% more! I do not feel valued as a guest, and the service has fallen short of what I have experienced at other Four Seasons in Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Minneapolis, and several other American cities. I conveyed all of this to Joshua yesterday, but somehow things did not improve, hence this posting. I wish this hotel the best, but readers should be aware that something is not hitting at the service level at least for some guests. The manager (Ava) did call me this afternoon, and we discussed this at length. I hope that this feedback will be helpful to them too. Update on day of departure: the management team did reach out and we settled this so that I left more satisfied with my stay. I really hope they will respond to this feedback and improve the overall experience.
Excellent in every way! Gorgeous, modern, impeccable and uber-stylish hotel located within easy walking distance to the fun shops of Newbury Street and all the fun and fine dining of Boston... Stayed here 24 hours for an extended airport layover... the spa and indoor pool were modern and available to all hotel guests... breakfast was served in an elegant, chic dining room... we were upgraded to a larger room that looked like it was our if Architectural Digest magazine it was so beautifully, smartly designed... worth every penny and can't wait to stay here again!
Had such an amazing stay here this past weekend. Everyone was very welcoming towards us. The receptionist for the spa was truly a delight and made our experience that much more enjoyable. Definitely will be staying here again!
We spent a long weekend at The Four Seasons in Boston. One of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed at while we were there, my dog, Annie was given, from Neoteric brands, peanut butter and blueberry dog treats. My dog is a very poor eater because she’s a rescue. These are the first treats in a long time that she absolutely loved. I ordered these traits from the source because it is so hard to find something that she loves. I think you and The Four Seasons for this wonderful trip.
Just had an unbelievable experience at the One Dalton Wellness Spa. For my 40th birthday, I booked a Dalton Duo for myself and my husband and everything exceeded my expectations. The staff were A+ when it came to customer service. So lovely, helpful, and accommodating. The Wellness Floor in itself is gorgeous, especially the pool - with views of the City. The Floor was well equipped with snacks, waters, and teas. Overall, an amazing experience and a great way to unwind on a cold February day. Thank you again One Dalton for making my 40th birthday so special and memorable. I will be booking again soon!
Stunning Views Overshadowed by Surprisingly Poor Service Execution I stayed in a Corner Suite at One Dalton for four days this past December. While the hotel is architecturally stunning and the views of the cathedral are the best in the city, the service was nowhere near the standard I expect from a Four Seasons property. The Failures: During a room move, I was assured that my belongings in the refrigerator would be transitioned while I was away for a 90-minute massage. I returned to find that nothing had been moved, forcing me to manage the logistics myself during what should have been my relaxation time. Furthermore, I requested basic cutlery for a meal, and it took over an hour to arrive. The Verdict: At this tier of hospitality, a guest should never have to ask twice for the basics. While the front desk offered a small credit upon checkout, it didn't compensate for the constant need to follow up on simple requests. The building is beautiful, but the 'soul' of Four Seasons service, the intuitive care was missing. I would hesitate to return when there are other luxury option
I wanted to share how wonderful our recent stay was. The reception staff were incredibly kind and informative, making check-in seamless and welcoming. Our room offered a stunning view, and room service was exceptionally attentive, exceeding our expectations every time. Thank you for creating such memorable moments—we look forward to returning.
We have tried this location multiple times but the valet parking is just horrible. They kept asking us for cash every single time. We had already paid through the app but they kept asking for money again because they said we stayed for 15 extra more minutes. They would not let us leave until we paid again. DOUBLE THE PRICE!!! They were rude and greedy. We have been to this location multiple times but it’s getting worse and worse. We have been to many Four seasons locations, this one just doesn’t reflect the four seasons hospitality. It seems like they are bothered by you showing up. Would not recommend it.
